“Charming”

Clean rooms, nice indoor pool, while not luxurious had lots of character and charm. Walking distance to old downtown area with nice restaurants. This was my second stay and I'd return.

“started out bumpy, ended up amazing!”

when we (my mother and I) arrived the first day we were happy with our room as far as the comfort and cleanliness but we soon realized that the walls were thin and the neighbors were loud. That evening was not great (we stayed three nights). We not only had the noisy neighbors but we discovered the "hot" water was lukewarm at best. We decided that if the water wasn't hot enough for a shower the next evening we were going to change hotels. It wasn't, and we called for a manager to see about getting a refund on our two remaining nights. That is when we met Della (i'm pretty sure that was her name) and she is, hands down, the nicest, sweetest and most professional manager in the hotel industry who i've ever met. She immediately sent an engineer to the basement to check on the water and it turned out that there was a breaker problem and we were right, the water wasn't getting hot. She also insisted on moving us to a better room where there weren't any neighbors to keep us up all night. We ended up in a beautiful suite, with lots of hot water, no noisy neighbors and were able to leave saying that we would most definitely return for another stay. Thank you Della! The hotel industry needs more people like you and The Queensbury is very lucky to have you!!!

“Room was lovely but continental breakfast left a lot to be desired!”

Room was lovely, spacious and clean. Enjoyed our stay. However, the continental breakfast was terrible. English muffin, bagels and muffins were stale -- some to the point of being hard. The danish were dry and inedible. Cold cereal was the only thing that proved to be edible. Fruit could also have been fresher. It was mid week in beginning of February. Would hope it would be better on a weekend.

“A pleasant surprise”

We stayed here to visit Six Flags and Lake George. Queensbury is one of the lowest cost places to stay in the area yet offers surprisingly good quality. It's great for family travel. Our room was spacious and clean with a walk-in closet, the staff was professional, and they have a nice pool, hottub and restaurant. If visiting Lake George recommend staying here than at albeit closer but more pricey motels offering significantly less. We will definitely be staying here again.

“Well maintained hotel for a great price”

Great hotel for the price. Exterior was in great shape. As for the interior, a mixed bag. The room itself was in good shape with a nice design. The real sticking point of the place is that the hotel itself is old with the interior nicely decorated and renovated. The bathroom and the closet had much to be desired. Overall, i will definitely return to this hotel whenever i visit Lake George. It's within 15 mins of the town and the price is 50% cheaper than the lake george hotels and in better conditions.

“Good Visit”

Our initial room was extremely small and cramped with a few hair strands in the sink, on the hair dryer and behind the bathroom door. We asked to be moved and they were able to accommodate us fairly quickly. The second room was larger (and no hairs!). This is an old hotel but it is charming and is located downtown which is just lovely. Our overall experience was pretty good. Don't stay here if you like brand new amenities.
