The room we stayed in this time (March) was supposed to be "deluxe" it was NOT, bathroom wasn't as clean as I would have liked. carpet in rough shape, dusty fixtures in the entire room and sticky stuff on the night stand between the beds, I had to clean it before I put anything on it. We were also on the first floor near the front desk so a lot of people walking through the halls and noisy vehicles right outside our window. The room we stayed in on our July visit was the extreme opposite, VERY nice. 2nd floor and very much "deluxe". will definitely stay again but request a 2nd floor room with outdoor pool view. Outdoor pool is gorgeous and indoor pool/hot tub good. Breakfast was descent and what I would expect from a hotel that includes it.

They were booked out for the solar eclipse. They put us in a handicap room that didn’t even have a queen bed. Two ppl paid to sleep on a full size mattress that was so old it has divets in the bed. The floor was filthy. I spilled some water and cleaned it up and the floor made the towel black. I had to wear shoes the rest of my trip in the room. The bathroom shower head was broken spraying water everywhere and the tub was clogged as well. I wish they’d just give my money back.

This is our favorite place to stop on our way to Canada. Rooms are always clean and very comfortable. Staff is helpful and friendly, plus they have a great breakfast. Also free coffee anytime!

The walls were paper thin and the entry door to room was too small for the opening. I had to put towels at base of door because it did not extent to the floor. Light and sound still came in on the other 3 sides of the door.The sounds from the adjouning rooms were loud (loud TV, children playing, and loud voices) all night long. Unable to sleep due to the noise.

Holiday Inn and Best Western switched my reservation made through expedia, never told me and then charged me even when expedia and Best Western agreen that is what happened. Never saw the place. Never want to.

Good hotel for a short stay, close to everything, shops, restaurants, souvenirs and some tourist attractions. The lady who takes care of breakfast is super kind and friendly. I would go back to this hotel.

I booked this for a quick overnight with my husband and granddaughter to attend attraction at the fort due to very good Expedia reviews, unbelievably low (off-season) rate of $57, free brkfst. After booking I read some other reviews and got a little worried as you usually "get what you pay for." But this stay was EXCELLENT! Yes, hotel is dated, hall carpet and furniture a bit worn, and free brkfst is not a gourmet meal. I would not expect any different at that price, just looking for a clean, safe, economy hotel to sleep 1 night. But this hotel exceeded my expectations in every way! The lobby was clean and inviting, and the girl at the front desk was SO nice and friendly, I wished I had gotten her name. She was there at night when we went to bed, and back again when we left the next morning, working 2 almost back to back shifts on little sleep and was still so nice. Our room was clean, fixtures, water pressure, heat, TV, beds, mini-fridge - all in perfect working order. It was very quiet and we slept well. In the a.m. Elsie in the brkfst room was very friendly and pleasant. There was an excellent variety of foods. Everything was spotless and clean, and surprisingly for a free breakfast the coffee tasted great, the instant scrambled eggs and thin bacon weren't high caliber products BUT were PERFECTLY cooked, moist eggs (not dry) and crispy bacon. Elsie obviously takes pride in her job. I would have paid twice as much for our stay and still thought it a deal. 5-stars!

Pros: - Close to I-87, - Relatively close to Queensbury with a lot of restaurants and stores - Close to West Mountain - Reasonably priced - Clean rooms - Includes breakfast - Prompt check-in and check-out - Free parking Cons: - Very thin walls - you can hear your neighbors talking - A noisy AC unit (a lot of inexpensive hotels suffer from it) - No room service in 3 days (not sure why) - A bunch of small repairs are needed, such as a door knob, a shower door handle etc. - A tiny pool with a lot of people (maybe due to a busy weekend) - Gore mountain is a 40 minute drive (doable, but not recommended, if you can find something closer) - No elevators, so if you're on a second floor, be prepared to drug you luggage up - Breakfast is very limited and basic - Very dangerous slope to exit the hotel parking when it snows - barely managed to stop before the main road

The staff were very helpful and were there whenever you needed them. They made our stay very enjoyable and safe. Would recommend the hotel to family and friends. It also was.a very clean property.

I had two issues with the location. 1. While it was cold enough to create ice in the parking lot, I was told that the staff member on duty was here to fill in and would try to get to it soon. 2. My TV did not turn on and when I spoke to the staff he told me he could not fix it as he was the only on on duty so he swapped the room after I had unpacked everything,

I can't give a review of this property because I didn't stay here. The location was 2 hrs away & it was too far to drive after a long day on the road. It popped up on expedia as a close hotel so I booked it. Later I found out on my GPS that it was a long drive into the late evening. Expedia wouldn't let me cancel this within 15 min.

Bathroom shower base not properly cleaned (red stain all around the door), bed sheets still have hair on, mattress making squeezing sound, fridge is loud and noisy, staff arguing with me about the waffle maker (I had to turn it on to use it but she insisted that it was turned on). An overall unpleasant experience. Won’t recommend.

Wow!
Absolutely gorgeous room. Very friendly employees. Nice breakfast as well. Cook walked around asking how everyone was and if the food was good. Room was spotless. Housekeepers named Civi and Angel did an amazing job! I highly recommend this place and will definitely go to again!!

The property was old. The outer doors to the hallways did not lock. Our window screen had been torn open. The smell when you walked into the hallway was atrocious. The floors were dirty, and the final straw was all of the hair in the beds. We left and went to another hotel and asked for a refund. They were apologetic and provided a full refund.

They have been spoke to multiple times in regards to this and that we have other guests staying with or without families and it not acceptable.
