This Montreux hotel is on the city’s lakeside boulevard, on the shores of Lake Geneva. Place du Marche and the Freddie Mercury Statue are within one kilometer, and the city's shopping district is close by.
The hotel's banqueting and meeting halls create a sumptuous environment for top level business and diplomatic occasions. The first-floor Grand Hall, with its marble columns, chandeliers, and plush furnishings acts as an extended lobby, is readily converted into a glittering reception hall. It is complemented by six other grandiose spaces bristling with stucco statuary, heavy embroidered drapes, and mahogany furnishings, and a series of more modest conference spaces. Across the road, a further option is La Coupole, with its broad arches and lakeside location.
Wired and wireless Internet access (surcharge) is available in public areas of the hotel. Pets are accepted with a surcharge.

Fairmont Le Montreux Palace has 236 guestrooms on seven floors, offering views of Lake Geneva and the Alps. Built in 1906, the hotel offers a modern and classic atmosphere. Rooms come with either queen or single beds. Amenities include a cable/satellite TV with pay movies, direct-dial phone with voicemail, high-speed Internet access, minibar, coffeemaker, in-room safe, and an iron/ironing board. Each room ahs a private bathroom with a bathtub, complimentary toiletries, makeup/shaving mirrors, hair dryers, and heated towel rails. Rollaway beds are available upon request.

Dining
La Brasserie du Palace - Has an elegant and contemporary design and offers typical cuisine of a French brasserie as well as traditional Swiss specialties. The wine menu features a wide range of specialties of the region and abroad. Open for breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner.
Harry's New York Bar - A snappy New York ambience reigns in this low-lit nocturnal locale. Night owls can accompany cocktails with a late night meal, with anything from Chinese dishes through to sirloin steak. Live jazz adds to the ambiance from Monday to Saturday. Open evening until late night.
Terrasse du Petit Palais - Across the road from the main hotel building, small round tables are set upon a terrace bursting with flowers and offering views directly over Lake Geneva and the Alps. Favored by guests especially on summer evenings, the terrace restaurant offers a salad buffet and a range of grilled fish and meat options. Open during the summer for lunch and dinner when reservations are required.
Lobby Lounge - The Lobby Lounge offers late breakfast, snacks during the day, cake in the afternoon, and a pre-dinner drinks in the evening.
In-room dining - Serving traditional and International food 24 hours a day.
Entertainment
Fairmont Le Montreux Palace has 3 restaurants, 2 bars and 1 nightclub. Harry's New York Bar features live music every evening except on Sunday and is also a partner of the Montreux Jazz Festival.
Recreation
Montreux and its surrounding areas offer a wide range of activities from culture to sports: Water sports are available within walking distance from the hotel (sailing, surfing, swimming, water skiing, pedal boot), while the mountains invite for an extensive hiking tour or a stroll around the forests.
The Swiss Riviera also offers various events including the Montreux Jazz Festival in early July, the Septembre Musical in September, the Festival du Rire in December, and the largest Christmas market in the French part of Switzerland.

“Long Weekend”
This hotel was perfect for a short weekend break. The room had a spectacular view of the lake from its two balconies. The staff were friendly and efficient and as the hotel was within easy walking distance of both the station and the centre of town we were able to maximise our time. Montreux is magical at Christmas but might be a bit quiet and tame at other times of year.

The staff were helpful and welcoming. Great location - close to trains, major highlights and shopping. Great place to come for a shortbreak only, not enough things to do for a full week. Will come back for the ski season!

The hotel was beautiful and the view from our room spectacular. The proximity to the Chateau de Chillon was very convenient.
“Wonderful Hotel”
We choose this hotel as our "special treat" whilst holidaying in Switzerland. did not disappoint. We do however have to mention that the price of breakfast (if not included in accommodation) was expensive as were other meals/drinks etc. Switzerland on the whole foo and drinks are over the top cost wise. So if you are looking to spoil yourself this is the place to do it,
“Best hotel in Montreux Switzerland...the grand dame!”
Excellent location on the main drag in Montreux. This facuility is the Grand Dame of all hotels at this end of Lac Leman. The hotel's renovations make it as nice as you would expect at any 5 star in Europe, let alone Switz. Service, food, and views are all incredible. This is amust location for those who desire the best!

View, location, spa, service! Everything handled to perfection! A standard that should be followed in all hotels! We can't wait to return! As return guests we were treated to an upgrade for both rooms in our party and the service was beyond perfection! This is one of the finest hotels in the world.

“Le prix en vaut la chandelle !”
Il s'agit à l'évidence d'un hôtel de grand luxe, tout à la hauteur de sa réputation. Séjour d'autant plus "superbe" que nous avons été "upgradés" d'une chambre "standard" à une petite suite, avec une veranda dotée vue magnifique sur le lac et les montagnes enneigées, idéale pour petit déjeuner en chambre. La décoration de la chambre, bien que moderne et loin de la tradition associée au passé de cet hôtel, est agréable et le confort parfait. Maillot de bain recommandé pour profiter de la belle piscine intérieure, du jacuzzi et du sauna compris dans le prix.

il est dommage que les twins soient remplacées par des chambres à grand lit et que le chauffage soit absent de la chambre 124 !!!!
