“good cheap hotel”
The Villa Pagoda was ok - our room for 3 was extremely small, we barely had room for the luggage. We did find a few spiders in the room, but that seemed to be normal with a large garden outside. The AC was not on yet, so we had to open the window, no screen, at night, but that was ok too. Upon arrival, it was closed. The women wasn't there to welcome us or check us in. Another women there called her and she arrived quickly. Upon check out, we had to leave at 630 in the morning, she even called the taxi for us - yet 1030 the night before she called our room saying I needed to come down and pay for the room. For some reason, I had thought I had already paid through expedia, otherwise I certainly would have taken care of it earlier. And since we were leaving the country the next day for Switzerland, I didn't have enough euros to pay her. She suggested I go find an ATM - but I was already in pj's and had no clue where the nearest one was. They don't take credit cards and eventually I gave her american dollars - so I was grateful for that. I'm just not sure why this wasn't addressed before then - like maybe on check in?? It is a good 20 - 25 minute walk to old town. She'll say 10, but not unless your running! I wish the hotel had bikes for rent. the best was we found a fabulous restaurant/pizzeria right around the corner "Oasi". We ate there 3 times. Great food, great prices and the women speaks english well. We were very welcomed there!
