“Excellent hotel”

We stayed only one night at the Palace Hotel, but wished we could have stayed longer, but we'll be back! The hotel has the best location in Como, right by the lake. The rooms were very comfortable (but bear in mind that hotel rooms in Europe are smaller than in the US), parking at the hotel is easy and the breakfast is delicious. There is no concierge, but the staff at the reception is very helpful and will assist you with directions, maps etc. Can definitely be recommended.

“Palace de Come”

Hôtel idéalement placé sur le bord du Lac à quelques métres de l'embarcadère et de la Place Cavour menant au Dôme. Les chambres doubles sont plus spacieuses que les chambres à grand lit. Le petit déjeuner est servi dans une pièce de style baroque, magnifique, avec un grand choix de mets. Hôtel à recommander....et je compte bien y revenir.

“great view”

For being a very warm September, this hotel had a/c. The beds were comfortable, the view of the lake was wonderful (ask for a lake view). There was remodeling of the walkway out front, but quiet over the weekend we were there. It came with breakfast, great typical european selection. Close walk to everything, wish we had had more time!

“Ideal location”

I would highly recommend the Palace Hotel and would suggest that one books the delux rooms in the new wing of the hotel. We booked a superior room but were up graded on arrival to a delux room which was much larger and far better. The hotel location is great, a short way to the ferries and also the train station. The staff were very helpful.

“Beautiful Hotel”

Walking up to the hotel was great. It is right on the lake, and is a true palace. We had a superior room, lake front. It was a little small, but we were comfortable. Como is a great place to visit, and I recommend this hotel

“Great location - great value”

Definately great place to stay. Nice rooms, very clean, great view the the lake + friendly staff. Breakfast is very basic but no complaints. Plenty of places around for a great Italian coffee. Really enjoyed our stay and very much recommended.

“Worth the price”

Hotel is perfect. The only thing to have in mind is it's not a place to go for a quiet stay - the area around the hotel gets very busy near weekends.

“Probably the best place to stay in Como”

In terms of location, it can't really be beaten. Right on the front, and perfect for the town and restaurants. The staff are very helpful and friendly (all English speaking too, to our eternal gratitude and shame). For what is a grand looking, older hotel on the outside, the rooms are surpsrisingly modern/chain-like inside. There's no sense of belle epoque (or indeed that you're in any particular country) to it but on the other hand everything is new, clean and works well. You won't have any problems during your stay, but you're unlikely to be sweeping down any spiral staircases to grand balls either. Take a look at the room rates at reception, and feel smug if you managed to secure a good online deal (we did, and we were). Time your visit right and you'll have a great time at an excellent price. Breakfast is continental and serviceable, but nothing special. Man can live on croissants alone, apparently. I'd definitely go back.

nous n'avons pas regretté notre choix pour une soirée de réveillon insolite : un superbe feu d'artifice sur le lac, à minuit, devant l'hôtel, des rues animées pour célébrer la nouvelle année dans la joie et la gaieté italienne. l'hôtel très confortable, est très bien situé, la chambre et la salle de bain aux dimensions généreuses. une adresse à retenir.

“Can't wait to go back”

This was a beautiful hotel. Had a room with an awesome view of Lake Como, which happens to be my favorite vacation spot. I will book my next vacation at the Palace Hotel and recommend this hotel to friends and family.
