Modest, but pleasant hotel. Very friendly staff and owners, proud of their hotel and it’s location. Annecy is 15 minute walk along the beautiful Annecy Lake. Safe and quaint. Great for a short stay.

Excellent location
We found the staff extremely helpful. Bikes were available to rent but we'd taken our own. It's just a 5 mins. cycle ride into Annecy Old Town along the very safe, lakeside cycle path. Staff lent us a cycle light as we were returning after dark from a meal in the town.

Very nice hotel, great location, friendly and helpful staff. We stayed in the corner room and the shower was under the tile roof with low ceiling which mad the shower unforgettable for medium to tall people

Hotel is okay but would not stay there again.
Annecy is amazing. However, this hotel is a 15 minute walk to the village of Annecy. Since the village is so charming, next time I will stay right in the village. I am not a lazy person, but walking 30 minutes round trip a couple of times each day is time consuming and after about 3 times is no longer interesting. Yes, there is a bus, but it runs every 15 minutes and still requires walking up and down a long hill. Also, the room we were in did not have a shower. It only had a tub with a hand-held shower hose and no sort of shower curtain. For the price, I would have expected a better shower/bathing set-up. They put is in the top floor which meant no window other than a hatch that swung out, so to see out, we had to peer out the opening. We could not see out from anywhere else in the room. Great view, but difficult to see it. No excuse for putting us in that room as the hotel was clearly not full. Also the breakfast was VERY disappointing (i.e. warm juice out of a dispenser, coffee out of a machine, pastries you could get at a gas station in the states). Don't bother with it. Go into the village and get breakfast at any number of outstanding cafe's and restaurants. The bed was a little hard for me. I sleep on my side and my shoulders were sore each morning.

Fun time in Annecy. We had a significant delay in getting in due to traffic accident on Route A-6. We called at 9:30PM saying we would be very late and they gave us the door code and left our room key under the lamp inside. VERY COOPERATIVE!

Great location in Annecy
Hotel rooms are small, but very comfortable. Just down the hill to the lakefront and town beach, 15 minite walk along a nice path along the lake to the picturesque old town. It's best to leave your car in the hotel parking and bike or walk because the lake road traffic and parking are crazy, even in mid September. The two hosts I spoke with were as nice as could be and although they both spoke excellent English, they very patiently put up with my limited French. Hope to return.

A bit of a walk (or bus ride) into town - 1.6km. However, calm, quiet & magnificent views, at least on the lake side.

We stayed 3 nights, the hotel was very good, the staff ultra helpful and pleasant. Terrace and garden with stunning view of Lake Annecy. Easy walk to the Old Town for dinner, sight seeing and boat trips. Recommended.Cleanliness, location

Great little hotel
Friendly, helpful staff when made us feel very welcome. Room was spotless but lacked clothes storage - had a small wardrobe but no drawers so we had to live out of our case for the four nights. Breakfast can be booked at €12 per head for standard continental buffet. Hotel does have a bar but we didn't use it. Lots to do in Annecy and all within walking distance - bus stop at the end of the road if needed. We had hired a car to explore the wider area.

Great Little Place in the French Alps
We truly enjoyed the Hotel des Marquisats. It was in a great location with convenient parking. The nightly rate was excellent. It was close to the lake and to the center of town for walking.

marvelous hotel!
absolutely lovely hotel. unique, pretty and full of charm. love the set-apart location (with free parking) and the delightful, 20-minute walk along the lake to the wonderful old-town, Annecy. the two sisters that run this place are truly friendly and helpful. we really enjoyed our stay there. oh, and a BIG plus - one of the most comfortable beds i have slept in.

Great value hotel walking distance to the old town
Very helpful & pleasant staff. The room was on the small side but very comfortable & light. we had a lovely view down to the lake. It was great to have a safe that was free to use too. Free parking & a pleasant reception area. The is a fridge in the room but as it typical of European hotel rooms, no tea & coffee making facilities. The room was good value being so close to the old town (10 mins brisk walk along the lakeside).

Located outside the main downtown area but it is just a short walk along the lake to reach downtown or there is a bus handy by. Nice lobby area for lounging. Hotel has plenty of parking and outside seating areas with a view of the lake. The bed was too firm for me.

Comfortable quiet hotel. Congenial helpful staff. Nice breakfast availble. Probably a 25 minute walk to "town", but its a nice walk along the lake. A couple of free parking lots about halfway there. Pay parking lots just as you enter town. Straight shot by car from town to the hotel turnoff, then 50 meters up hill on a narrow (!) street to the hotel. Plenty of parking. We would stay here again.

Very comfortable hotel. Run by two sisters who could not have been more helpful. Situated a ten minute walk along the lake from the old town. Ideal for the cycle track around the lake. Would return to the hotel again.

We requested a lake view room, instead we got an attic room with sky lights. If we stood on our toes we could barely catch a glimpse of the lake. The receptionist graciously moved us. The room was tight but had everything we wanted including a view! The location is an easy walk to the old village. Good parking at no charge.

A Real Gem
We really enjoyed the hotel and were very comfortable there. The owners were just lovely and very helpful. Breakfast was very good. The location was a bit out of town along the lake shore-very walkable and beautiful. Bus service to and from town was excellent and frequent if you needed it. I would not hesitate to recommend this place to others.

Friendly, gracious hosts
Very comfortable hotel with an individual air to it, unlike "chain"hotels. It's a good walk into town but Annecy itself is a place for people wanting to walk around its beautiful town and surroundings. And there is a public bus available most days. The staff and proprietors were all very gracious and helpful. A charming place to stay!

It's good to be away from the hub-bub of Annecy and its an easy and pleasant walk from the hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. The bathroom had been recently renovated and was very nice. Be good when the room itself is also renovated as it was fairly dated. Lovely view of the lake and nice communal areas in the hotel.

Good hotel away from the bustle of Annecy
Very friendly, efficient hotel. Our "superior" room was a bit cramped, but we did have a small terrace with table and chairs at the back of the hotel with a nice view of the lake. Pleasant walk into town. Breakfast was expensive but excellent.

Hotel staff were good in the main. The room was a standard double and small/small bathroom, so a bit crowded. It was hot when we were there and no air con, so we didn't really get any sleep unfortunately.Fabulous location - a little way out of town, but we had bikes so it was perfect for us. Had breakfast on the balcony overlooking the lake - stunning!! Good value for what we paid.

A Very Pleasant Hotel
This property is situated within a 20 minute walk to the Old City which is a plus it parking can be very hard to come by in peak season. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and ours had a nice view of the lake and the mountains. There is ample parking if you are driving.

quiet location close to Lake
enjoyed this hotel, very relaxing. Bus stop a few minutes away costs only 1.20euro but last bus is around 9.00 p.m. Only 20 minute pleasant walk into Annecy by the lakeside (what a lovely town!). Great breakfast choices, excellent lounge and friendly staff. Quiet room at rear (forest side) was large and comfortable. Definitely happy with our choice of this hotel.
