This hotel is under construction. Upon driving up we were slightly concerned, but the lobby looked clean and the staff was nice and efficient. We ended up in a room that had a thermostat that shook the room and an ant problem. I contacted the front desk in the morning concerning the two issues and they assured me they would be taken care of by the time we returned. Upon getting back to the hotel around 7 in the evening, there were ants crawling on the desk. The staff or manager (I am not sure which) came in and sprayed and cleaned the desk, but the room stunk for the rest of our stay. Additionally, the thermostat continued to have problems. We asked to switch rooms, but they said they did not have any for us to move into. We spent nights at the hotel and it was the worst experience we have had in a hotel in a long time. In addition to the ants and the thermostat, we had little pieces of styrofoam that appeared to be blowing in through the thermostat all over the floor. We had asked for the room to be cleaned on the second day and it never was, so we needed to ask for towels. The hotel should not be opened during the renovations if they can not keep their rooms to a certain level of cleanliness. The only redeeming thing about our stay was the friendly staff. On that point though, I was told that they would refund me through Expedia and have since learned they are only willing to refund a portion of the stay.
