We stayed here just one night, but we will definately stay again. Quaint, cozy and welcoming.

Gunstock Inn was a very nice, comfortable & peaceful place. With only 25 rooms it was quiet. Our room was cozy & the bed was so nice & comfortable. The restaurant had very good food, reasonable prices & friendly, courteous people. We plan on coming up again & staying a little longer.

decent hotel with a good location and some new england charm, however, guests are restricted to adults only but there is evidence of children living there with toys cluttering the lobby sitting area and the outside back area, not what you want to see while on vacation.

Love the hotel, but the restaurant could use some significant improvement!;;There is a piano at the facility, yet knowone is playing it during dinner... the meals take way too long to reach the guests... waitstaff is very inexperienced... other than that the stay is very comfortable!

“country inn needs some love”

It would be impossible to complain about the kind people who oversee the Gunstock Inn. But the expectations need to be established need to clear from the beginning that this property needs a facelift. Old carpeting and dark furniture produce a musty smell to the air. While the room was certainly spacious, and the little balcony off the back to see the mountain view was very special indeed, the screen door was sticky and icky and the noise from all the guests in the main living room made it impossible to have a quiet evening. There was a drip in our toilet that we couldn't figure out how to fix so we slept with ear-plugs. And continental breakfast had everything one would need, but was awkward for the guests because we were opening huge Costco boxes of cereal ourselves - maybe best if smaller portions offered in a canister that is later refilled? Same with the 5 huge loaves of bread - perhaps an assortment bread tray first? Any complaints are only based on what people are used to receiving from an Inn these days. Their hearts are great they could use a little upgrade and reorganize in our view. Still, very nice people there.
