Excellent hotel
The hotel was in an excellent location to wandr around the centre of La Rochelle and the port. The rooms were spotless and had everything we needed. Reception helped us out with ordering a taxi to the airport. Excellent stay

Nice hotel slightly let down..
Nice hotel close to all bars and restaurants etc....Needs more staff on reception as they have to serve the bar as well as checking in people...We gave up waiting at the bar as the girl was very busy and couldnt get to us...Breakfast could of been beter..

Very well located outside the core centre where it is difficult to park, yet in an affluent area. A particular note for the very helpful staff, who accommodated a last minute change in my travel arrangements.

The hotel was about a 15 min walk from the hotel. Very clean but not the best condition. Door took a lot to close. Lock didn’t work all the time. Shower leaked to floor outside bathroom so carpet was always wet. Not great for hanging anything up.

15 min from center, easy to access by car
The hotel is located 15 minutes from the center by walk. Parking lot is underground but you can use the elevator directly. Overall employees were kind and friendly.

Nice base for La Rochelle and Les Minimes
We have stayed here twice now and it’s been clean, quiet and comfortable both times. The internet access on the computers near reception was poor this time but reception staff were helpful. Hotel is nicely situated between La Rochelle centre and Les Minimes (a nice 1km stroll either way). Would definitely recommend this hotel.

A nice hotel. The room was a little bit small, but very clean. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The underground parking was very convenient. The hotel is located not far from the main tourist attractions and the town center. On the other hand, it took some time to find the hotel and even more time to exit the city from the hotel by car. Therefore, it is more convenient to the people who would like to stay at least two nights, and less convenient for the overnight stay.

Lovely hotel, extremely comfortable bed in a large room. Town centre and the sights were only a 15 minute walk so was perfectly situated. Plenty to eat for breakfast and staff were very friendly.

Everything you need and a great location
Took the train into La Rochelle and this hotel is only approx 15 mins walk from the station and the port. Close to the marina, maritime museum and university too. Staff are very pleasant and speak very good English. Excellent continental breakfast for less than 10 euros. Rooms are spacious, clean and well-equipped with everything you need for a short break. 24 hour residents bar. 100% recommend this hotel

Good hotel for a stopover
We booked this hotel mainly because it stated that it offered a shuttle from the airport. We did have to point this out a few times via email when trying to arrange- but in the end staff kindly came and picked us up as stated. Room was fine - beds were clean and comfortable and a good breakfast was on offer. Two small niggles - the shower leaked quite badly, secondly on Expedia it stated that local taxes were included in the price we paid- the guy on the desk however, insisted that local taxes were never included (they have been in all other hotels where stated) even when shown the invoice we had paid. Only a small problem (it’s the principle not the cost) but it didn’t spoil our time in La Rochelle or the Kyriad.

Room very clean if a little small. Kettle very useful but unfortunately there was no airport shuttle bus despite one being advertised on the hotel Web site.

More than ample for overnight stay, great staff
2nd stay here, very happy with accommodation for one night stay en route back to UK from Spain. Local street parking very limited even out of season but underground parking here is good. no evening meals here but restaurant not far away. Friendly multi-lingual staff in reception

Kyriad La Rochelle with nice new design features
This hotel is nicely located just outside the old town La Rochelle. It took us about 10 ~12 mInutes strolling to the busy old town streets, crossing a shipyard with marina view. Very enjoyable walk. The hotel has some very nice features that we had never seen in other Kyriad, such as the cabinet/closet space behind the bed headboard and beautiful designed bathroom. It was also super clean. Walls are well insulated. Our room was next to the elevator but I didn’t hear any noise made by the elevator at all. We used the secured hotel parking (only 8 euros a night).

Excellent value for money
We needed a hotel near the railway station and as we have used Kyriad hotels many times we chose this hotel in La Rochelle. The station is about a 10 minute walk. We were late arrivals so the hotel door was locked but access is gained through a speaker to the night manager who very promptly let us in after confirming our names. We had a couple of drinks at the bar before retiring to a lovely room. There is a kettle with tea, coffee etc. plenty of work space and a good size tv. The bathroom was clean - soap and shampoo/body wash are provided too. Breakfast was amazing. Lots of choices - obviously croissants and pain au chocolate, cheese and cold meats, bread, fruit, yogurts, fruit juices, frozen yogurt machine with a selection of fresh fruits and other toppings in jars for you to make your own flavour of yogurt. What looked like crepes on a platter and of course a hot drinks machine. Although the breakfast is €9.90 it is absolutely worth it if you are able to enjoy a big breakfast. They have a locked car park, which although we didn't need that is well worth knowing when traveling by car. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend this hotel.

Good place, 10 min walk to Centre
Solid European style hotel, clean, safe, and very friendly (helpful) staff in good neighbourhood. Rooms are small, but comfortable. Look for the "closets" and drawers behind the bed headboard--no joke. this confused me for a day. The place is 7 minutes walk to the conference centre, and 10-12 minutes to the Centre/ Harbour (easy stroll through the shipyards area--quite nice). Also 10 mins to the marina, lighthouse and beach the other way. There are lots of restaurants around, and a great and affordable little supermarket on the corner....hotel is worth the cost. Internet was free, Didn't do the breakfast, but looked ok.

Modern hotel with problems
I only stayed here for one night as a layover on my drive back from Spain and whilst the hotels and rooms are modern , there was a horrible smell from the bathroom drains , the shower enclosure was no use at all (the whole bathroom was covered in water after just a short shower ) and the air con was noisy ! . The location is central and close to a number of restaurants , but I wouldn't stay here again.

Would be happy to stay again & it was conveniently situated for things we wanted to do. Just let down by a few niggly things. The actual street number did not show up in the updated sat nav - so challenging to find at first. Suggest contact the hotel to find out best address to put in, it's quite a new build. Also let down by silly things not done or missing to do with the housekeeping of the room. Reception staff, who spoke English well, were extremely good & rectified these things where possible, but should they have needed to ? They also directed us to an excellent eating place & give 10 off vouchers & sorted out a bike taxi for a personal tour of old La Rochelle - this was very good value.

2 night holiday stay in La Rochelle
Functional, budget hotel - does what it says on the tin. Struggled to find hotel - probably my fault not the hotels! As with similar hotels in this category, has a formulaic approach to managing customers but nevertheless represents very good VFM. Would have no problem in staying with this chain again.

Nice hotel outside the hustle and bustle of La Rochelle. A few nice restaurants, a bank, a supermarket and a bar nearby. 15 minute walk to the town centre or a twenty minute walk to the beach. The hotel was very clean and contemporary. On street parking was possible nearby in a few locations.

First two days were fine although hotel staff was not overly helpful. The last night we went out for dinner and the aquarium my hotel room was robbed. My ipad, computer, and jewlerywere stolen from room. Our room was locked. The staff was not helpful. When I asked to speak to the manager I was told that "he didn't work today". I never leave valuables in hotel rooms, however I did at this hotel because of the good Expedia reviews and the secure looking nature - cameras in the lobby -of this hotel. My mistake. I filed a police report and they are doing an investigation but I know nothing will come of this.
