“Costa Baja Resort”
Great experiences in the Costa Baja Resort and Spa. Staff and hotel extremely nice and attentive. Answered all questions and very eager to show you around and what they had to offer. Had a difficult time checking in at secruity for the first time arriving. I have very little spainish, but the guard had even less english. Had to show him my reservation on blackberry to get into the place.
“Beautiful property, comfortable beds, few food choices”
Half an hour taxi from the airport, 10 minute ride into town. Beautiful propert, very comfortable beds, nice pool, convenient beach house. The hotel is in an enclosed property with a marina which has 4 restaurants plus the 2 hotel pool restaurants. This and a mini-mart at the marina are tge only food choices unless you want to drive into town. My husband and I missed walking into town and grabing a quick bite to eat, being around some local culture. There is a free shuttle provided by the hotel but it does not run often. The hotel and the property are beautiful, just consider if you want a gated community kind of feel. It is a very safe property.
“Needs a Personal Effort”
The hotel site is most uncomfortable. Too far from the main road of access and a very complicated route to get to the premises. There seems to be a refinery or factory as a neighbor which is a nuisance if compared to the marvel of nature and the possible views you could have there. The food is the worst in my experience. There is no minimum talent or care for the even simpler dishes, too much of the fast-food line ignoring the richness and possibilities of Mexican culinary traditions. Still needs much more effort to reach a reasonable standard. It is clear that the owners just expect a comeback of investment but there is no attention, care and love for what makes an unforgettable experience. If I was the owner, either I would get inmersed in the business in a much closer contact or I would choose someone to do this with "love" for the line of work.
