“No Frills, But Reasonably Clean”
This is a 2-star motel that was a reasonable cost. It allows people to bring their dogs, which is one reason we selected it. We didn't expect a whole lot from this motel, so we weren't disappointed by the dark paneling, mismatched furniture that was crammed into the room, or the not-fabulous decor. It was clean, had a refrigerator and a reasonably comfortable bed, and there were no shouting neighbors or loud parties. It was fine... After driving around the town of LaGrande a little that evening and the next day, we noted that there aren't a lot of hotel/motel options. Most of them didn't look any better than where we stayed (even the "brand" hotels).
“The price was right”
Quail Inn is an older motel but I found it comfortable and quiet except for the trains. The owners were friendly and helpful.

Small roadside motel - older property but well-maintained and clean. Good value. Just needed a place to stop for the night and this was fine for that.
“Very Old But Clean”
What can you say about a place like this. It was built in the 50s or earlier and was never meant to be standing for this long. The room I stayed in was clean the bed was not too hard and not too soft. I got a good night sleep. I will admit if I was pulling into town I would have dismissed it as a place I would stay. I booked the room due to other motels and hotels being full. If you need a place to get a nights rest and dont want to spend too much this is the place for you.
“Dirty Room”
My Fiance And I went to La Grande Oregon for a visit.. decided to stay at Quail Run.. They had relatively good prices, and the front Desk Guy was very helpful with giving directions and very Kind.. He actually gave us a bigger room than what we asked for, and didn't charge us more... Unfortunately, The bathroom had not been cleaned, tooth paste on the mirror and shelf below it, there was hair on the toilet (and you know what kind I am referring to!) The only soap offered was three bars of facial soap, no shampoo or conditioner offered. The towels had rust stains on them. The room had a double and a queen bed. The queen didn't have the sheets tucked, and it was apparent that the bedding had not been changed after the last guests had left. We found hair in between the top sheet and the fitted sheet. The double bed had not been slept in. The pillow cases had sweat stains on them. The carpets had not been vacuumed. We found packets of KFC honey in the bedside table, and used Kleenex's as well. The bible had graffiti in it. There was plastic bags and garbage in the dresser. The lighting in the room was also poor. A florescent bulb in the ceiling gave a very cold feeling to the room. The other two lamps barely lit the room. Nothing in the pictures we saw matched what we found in the room. Overall we were very disappointed with the quality of the room.
