We got lucky I think and were one of very few people staying there the night we did. The staff was excellent, breakfast was hot and the pool and hot tub were perfect.

I am a traveling nurse who works nights and the staff are flexible with early check in or a late check out which is GOLD for night shifters not wanting to pay for extra nights.

It was absolutely fine. It was quiet and the room was comfortable and clean. The hostess was friendly and helpful. The breakfast area was great. I just wish hotels would find better quality sausage links. They are the worst and all hotels serve them. Ugh!

We took over in July and were not able to change it due to busy summer season but let me assure you that we have a planned renovation during this slow winter months and we will be charging the carpets as well during that period. The outside of the hotel was beautiful but the room was severely dated and not clean. Carpet was terrible. Not sure what the other rooms look like but ours was not good.

We were given the wrong room.. then given a different and smelt horrible like smoke… did not have a iron or blow dryer. The THIRD room was o.k. But had a slight smell. We opened windows all night. Very old looking. Did not eat breakfast. Carpet and flooring very outdated. We were there for a wedding. Friends did not have lights working in their bathroom. Sink dripping and one the power blew the breaker when they turned on their blow dryer.

This is an older hotel. Given that they could keep it up a little better. The curtain was falling off, toilet seat super loose, drain in the tub was broke. There was some cleaning issues as well. The manager looked at all my concerns and made notes where to correct. He then caught me in the parking lot and called me in to give me a refund which I never even asked for.

Nice spot to stay in Sparta. Only complaint is that the ice machines were all broken. They provide cookies at check-in and the room was clean. Rocking chairs in front are nice too.

When we entered the room, we were immediately hit with the very bad smell of the room. The floor boards made a very LOUD noise when we walked across the room. The top white bed covering had big black marks/stains on it. Before settling into our room, we checked out another room, and it had a worse smell than the first room. We are sorry to say there was not much positive to say about our stay.

The staff were all very nice! The pool, hot tub and breakfast was very nice. We rented a room with two queen size beds. This was the smallest room I have ever stayed in. I had to crawl over the bed to get to the heater and air conditioner.

Wonderful Stay!
I stayed for one night to be close to a race I was running and the manager was so wonderful. He even went as far as instructing his staff to have some grab and go items out earlier for breakfast to accommodate the runners leaving at 5 am. The room was clean, quiet and everything I needed for comfort. The manager was super accommodating and friendly, the breakfast spread was DELICIOUS. I am so glad I stayed here.

On a 6 day trip with friends staying at a different hotel each night in a different state and this hotel was by far the best. James the GM was fabulous! He’s so friendly and works so hard to ensure your stay is great. Would def recommend to anyone staying in Sparta Wisconsin.

The staff at the hotel were very nice and helpful. Unfortunately I discovered that the bathroom was never cleaned and that really grossed me out. I had to ask for cleaning supplies to clean the tub and toilet before I could take a shower. Outside of the building could be better maintained. And smoking areas could be further away from the doorway.

Fortunately, the hotel is under new management and ownership and is committed to providing an exceptional guest experience and these issues will no longer occur. bikes are allowed inside now
This was a fairly good stay with an adequate room and quite location. However there has been a change in ownership recently, for the better it seems, but this has led to some confusion on the part of staff as to how things operate. We are cyclists and brought our bicycles inside the hotel. Not all staff knew of the new policy to allow this. Thankfully someone knew of this new policy and let the bikes inside. We would not have stayed if this was not allowed.

When I checked in they gave us keys to a room that was not cleaned. Upon them relocating us to a different room, there were large ant in bathtub and the floor in bathroom had hair on floor and in bathroom corner of room once you shut the door had not been cleaned ; now this morning upon taking our showers, the tub was not draining properly and there was not a hair dryer in our room; this was reported to front desk. The clerk said she would add to list of things that needed correcting. Very disappointed that I paid $191 for a room in such disarray at a place that was associated with the Radisson hotel group. Very dissatisfied
