“Good, old-fashioned customer service”
The Bonavia was excellent, with very friendly and helpful staff, good food (we stayed during 'food week' so there were some good deals in the hotel restaurant) and lovely clean rooms. The hote isn't cheap and if there is one other criticism it's that the room decor is a bit old-fashioned. However, this certainly worked in our favour in terms of customer service!
“Clean big rooms”
Clean big room and large bathroom with a tub. Large buffet breakfast included with fresh fruit, breads, coffee. Check in and check out was very fast and easy which was important as we had to leave very early in the morning.

The location of the hotel in the pedestrian zone in downtown of the city of Rijeka is almost ideal, and you can also park your car in the front of the hotel. The service is excellent. A quiet spot in this busy city with a very good (but a little overpriced) restaurant. Other good and less expensive restaurants and interesting shops with typically local products are in the walking distance. It is an ideal hotel, if you are on business here. If you like to relax and enjoy the Adriatic See and spa, just drive 10 miles more to the famous Opatija.
“Good business hotel if you need to stay in Rijeka city center”
Pros: good location, free parking, friendly personnel, good breakfast Cons: only a few intl. TV channels, very small room, dry cleaning not available after hours i.e. takes too long

Room generally comfortable. Staff helpful, particularly waiting staff in cafe and restaurant who were excellent. Good food if eating in and breakfast.
