“a very respectable place to stay”

Clean and well maintained. Not a 5 star but good value for the price. Far enough away from the traffic so that did not affect sleep. Meals were ok but not Western enough but that is ok too as we were there for the culture as well.

“Great for a one night stop over”

Enjoyed our stay. Shame that the Hotel is split into two complexes and there is a bit of walking to do. Otherewise a comfortable stay.

“Attractive city”

Swiss Inn opens onto main trading street of Chinatown - loads of fun stalls at night, safe atmosphere, good food. Handy for stop 9 of Hop On/Off bus but check timetable - good way to see general sights of KL. Room quiet with comfy beds. Bathroom small but adequate. Tea making facilities. Buffet breakfast good, 7-10. Plenty of taxis (RM20)to Sentral Station but only 10 minutes walk to Pasar Seni station .

“Good location in China Town”

We booked this Hotel for 1 night for a stopover. Good location in China Town. The room we had was none smoking at the front of the hotel above reception Room 302. It had a flat screen TV, airconditioner, window that could open, but was frosted glass. The room was small and quite and was adequate for 1 to 3 nights as we didn't spend much time in the room. This room was a deluxe room but didn't have a fridge. Apparently the smoking rooms are bigger and have a fridge. The breakfast room was like a rabbit waren to get to, down a hall, up 2 flights of stairs, down a hall, down 2 flights of stairs. Breakfast consisted of noodles, baked beans, fried eggs, toast, butter, jam, spring roll, bacon, cereal, banana, water melon, pineapple, rice, tea, coffee, and juice: breakfast was OK, had better, had worst. We also stayed at this hotel on our return for 2 nights and booked this direct with the hotel whilst we were there on our 1st night. They have a tour desk in the foyer of the hotel, we booked the night tour with culture performance and dinner, the country tour and city tour. We then decided to have a late check out to 6.00 pm which was half the room price. The have luggage storage. Across the road is a money changer that had a good rate, better than the hotel and at the airport. The hop on hop off bus stop is in front of hotel and there are many taxis in front of hotel. At night you could walk to the market. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel and would recommend it.

“Good place to stay”

The hotel is handy enought to the LRT (1 stop from KL sentral). The room wasn't huge but was nice, clean and comfortable.

“Convenient stay at Kuala Lumpur”

I had arrived in KL late in the night of 29 May. We reached the hotel around midnight. Found the front desk staff very cordial and well mannerd and helpful too. Not only the hotel staff was helpful, the travel desk was also helpful and had helped in our visits to Genting Highlands, Petronas Twin Tower, KL Tower and the city tour. The taxis provided to us were good and the drivers well mannered. The travel desk arranged for our petronas entry tickets by sending their man at 6.30 am. The location of the hotel was good. In the back side of the hotel was the night bazar. Petronas was not very far from the hotel too. We stayed in the hotel for two nights and enjoyed our stay, though the rooms were much smaller than we had expected. The rooms had no windows and the bathrooms were too small. The breakfast in the rear side of the hotel was satisfactory and we had no problem in vegetarian breakfast. Overall it was a happy stay in the hotel.

“Great value for money”

Easy to find hotel wich backs onto the bustling Petaling steet market.. Great resteraunt with western and eastern menu, beer and food is value for money. This is not a 5* hotel but the rooms are clean and comfortable at an amazing price. TRUST me on this as i am a frequent visitor to asia.. have had a lot worst for a lot more money, friendly and helpful staff for any "qwelo" thats foriener to the non chineese speaking.. just use your common sense when dealing with the indonesian hawkers in petaling street they can be a bit pushy, normal security measures on protecting you valubles as in any Flea market as in all big cities will ensure you have a great experiance and stay.. happy traveling..

“Swiss Inn, Chinatown”

Hotel very well located for cheap tourist shoppping in the middle of Chinatown. Railway station is close (about 300m away) and monorail about 500m away. Rooms small but very nice, modern, and clean. Rooms renovated reasonably recently. Bathroom (and shower) excellent. Buffet breakfast included in price. This was a wonderful full cooked breakfast. On our last morning we left early and they gave us a packed breakfast of sandwiches. They were unwrapped, dried out and terrible but a minor issue. Good value and good location

“Two nights at Swiss Inn KL”

Stayed two nights with husband and teenage daughter as stop over. Hotel opens onto hectic and vibrant China Town, however was surprisingly quiet. Hotel is old but well maintained. An error on check-inn was quickly ammended and we recieved our room for three. The rooms are basic and quite small but are clean and practical. We found the staff helpfull and the breakfast adiquate. We found the access to China town and short walk to central markets convenient and fun and we were only a short train ride or reasonable taxi fair to KL city. Inexpensive and good for a short stay.

“Can`t Complain”

This was the second time I stayed at the Swiss Inn. I was surprised at check-in when they told me that the room type (superior I think) I had booked had no windows (This isn`t indicated in the description for the superior room on expedia) so I had to shell some more for a deluxe which got me a room overlooking the centre of the KL Chinatown which was pretty cool. The rooms are fairly modern and clean and tidy and the shower had a decent stream of hot water which was better than last time (2008). Decent buffet breakfast including some hot options. Well located near LRT and monorail stations and only one stop to KL Sentral Station. All in all not too bad.
