Great location for Krakow old town
Clean comfortable hotel centrally located within east walking distance of Krakow old town and a nice bar right next door. Only downside for a Brit no tea or coffee making facilities in the room or a fridge.

Liked location. Hotel clean and relatively quiet (church next door with bells that chime on the hour.) But has good sound proof windows. No plug in bathroom sink was my only bug bear. Plenty of hot water Room lovely and warm as temp outside was -14 Good value. Breakfast basic but adequate

Good location and value for money
Located between train station and town. Easy to find from train station. Staff friendly.spacious room. Not a modern room, but it was absolutely fine. Breakfast had a good variety. Continental style but with eggs etc. Lovely vegetarian cafe hust along the road. Would return.

The hotel is in an excellent location - just a few minutes' walk from the Central Station. The area was pleasant but one major disadvantage was the church across the road - every day it rang the bells from 6 am until 9 pm every hour, and played religious songs and Christmas carols for about a minute also every hour between 8 am and 9 pm. If you expect peace and quiet in your room, that's likely to bother you. The staff were nice and helpful and the breakfast was good and the ingredients fresh. The room was clean and sizeable. Bring your own toiletries as only a tiny bottle of shampoo is provided. Unfortunately, the mattresses were very uncomfortable. Both mornings I woke up at 6-7 with a back pain and had to get up. The shower was good but was leaking (which I've seen mentioned in other reviews in the past so I'm not sure why it hasn't been fixed yet) but housekeeping provided us with an extra towel upon request. Overall, the hotel is okay for the price but mainly for its location. Next time I will book somewhere else.

The location was excellent, just a short walk to the Old Town. Staff were very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. A bar in the hotel would have been nice. Rooms were clean and comfortable.

Interesting Hotel Close to the Centre of Krakow
Interesting Hotel with great very helpful staff. Good all round Breaskfast. Easy access to the Centre of Krakow, the Railway Station and the Shoping Centrer Galeria Krakowska.

This place has dropped in value compared to other places we have stayed at in Kraków. Cramped room. No coffee or tea in room. The breakfast was OK but only just.

Near the old town
Hotel fair enough for the price. We asked about safe facilities and were told there were none, even though this had been advertised. As we were only staying for 2 nights it was more an inconvenience rather than end of the world. Same with the tv - 1 English channel but reception was patchy. Breakfast was dine with a selection of hot and cold items, cakes and fruit..

Very convenient location
Very close to the bus and train stations yet only a short walk to the old town. The reception staff were helpful and information and maps were free of charge at the desk. The room was clean and comfortable as was the shower room. The water was always lovely and hot. Breakfast had a good selection of cooked food, cold meat, cheese and salad, cereals and fruit. An excellent place to stay for a short break.

Second stay at Matejko and consistently provided for my needs. Comfortable and clean room without frills and simple Polish breakfast. Relaxed and competent staff. Handy location for Kraków places of interest - competitive pricing on rooms with good privacy.

Krakow is a great place to visit but hotel facilities were just ok. Booked double room but were given twin beds and told double beds not guaranteed as they were not always available. Free breakfast was fine if you're an early riser as the diner gets really busy at 9.00am and later. The biggest disappointment was no tea or coffee in the room only a bottle of water. The room was warm and comfortable meaning the free water was also warm! Television in the room did not have any English channels so was worthless to us. We requested early morning call one day for an organised trip but it did not happen. Their website says bar and lounge - there wasn't one. Also spa and wellbeing - no such thing. Threadbare carpet on stairs and really dated decor. However, apart from these negative points the hotel is clean and warm, great location and comfortable rooms.
