“Great Value for money”
This hotel is a little gem, great value for money, excellent location only 5 minutes from main square and lots of bars and restaurants. The staff were fantastic with nothing being too much trouble for them. The rooms are basic but comfortable and probably one of the cleanest i have seen in fact vastly superior in service and cleanliness to many hotels of a higher grade. In short a great hotel and would recommend it without a second thought.
“Well worth the money”
This hotel was great value for what we paid. It was very central and easy to get to from the train station i.e. 5 mins in a taxi. The room was comfortable if slightly basic. Our only criticism was that there were no drawers. The shower was excellent with plenty of power and lots of hot water. The room and bathroom were spotless and we felt very happy there. As a bonus, we had a balcony that looked out to the street. Now for the staff. Well they were simply fantastic. They were so pleasant and nothing was ever too much trouble for them. Could not find one fault with them.

We very much enjoyed our stay at this hotel and will certainly stay there again. Staff were friendly and very helpful. If you are looking for a good, comfortable, clean, centrally situated hotel at a reasonable price then this is the one.
“Would most definatly recommend!”
The Amber hotel was beyond expectations. Every member of staff we spoke to could not be more friendly or willing to help as well as speaking impecible English. The room was perhaps a little compact, with a rather uninspiring view but more than comfortable for a nice long weekend. The whole hotel was to an excellent standard of up-keep and cleanliness and the shower in my room was posibly one of the best I have ever had! Its an ideal location for wondering into the old town (a 5 min stroll to main market square) with some wonderfull bars and hotels very near by The hotel even gave my partner a box of chocolates on his Birthday!
“extremely friendly - can't wait to go back”
Hotel Amber is a small, cozy hotel, but it gives you a service and makes you feel like at home. I was very sick and had to cancel two trips - to auschwitz, and to salt mine. They had no problem with that, and when I even forgot the check out time -11am, they let me stay in and take my time until around 12pm -
“Faultless Service at the Hotel Amber....we will return and recommend”
From the moment we checked in to the Hotel Amber we were met with the most helpful and friendly service. Tea and coffee and delicious buscuits were set up next to reception and were most welcome after our journey from London Gatwick. We were given an upgraded room which was spotlessly clean, specious and very comfortable with three pillows on each bed! The hotel receptionists made several telephone calls on our behalf, booking trips and tracing a lost scarf in the Jewish quarter! They even provided us with umberellas when needed. The hotel is ideally located and only a 5 minute walk to the main square. Krakow is a beautiful city and the Hotel Amber must be one of the most welcoming and confortable in the city centre.
“Great place to stay and at the right price”
The hotel was a great place to stay - very clean (much refurbished), extremely helpful staff and only 2 minutes from the edge of the city centre yet rooms well priced. I'd have no hesitation recommending the hotel for a vist to Krakow. Tram stop only 2 minutes walk and so easy to get around the city without a car. We hired a car which we found really useful for trips to Auschwitz and the salt mines rather that keeping to trip times - parking by the hotel busy but no problem. Sat nav would help but we managed without.
“Excellent hotel for the money - would definitely recommend.”
Couldn't fault the staff who were very helpful and well organised. The room had everything we needed - very comfortably and modern decor, lovely bathroom. Location was down a side street just outside of the old city but an easy stroll from the market square so well situated for sightseeing. Excellent for the price.
“Excellent small hotel”
The Hotel Amber is an excellent small hotel in a covenient area. The staff are efficient and friendly and speak very good English. The hotel was extremely clean. We would most definately stay there again.
