Nice tidy rooms and comfortable beds, air conditioning works well. Decent food at the bar. On site motorbike rental is very convenient. Helpful staff. Nice stay overall, would recommend.

Amazing hotel!
This hotel was one of our favourites on our trip around Thailand. It was modern and extremely clean, the rooms were large and comfortable and the pool area was stunning. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful, carrying our bags to our room and providing a free lift down to the pier when leaving. We extended our stay on the first night as we never wanted to leave. Location is fab, just a 5/10 minute walk down to the main restaurants/bars/beach. Would recommend to anyone staying in Koh Tao.

Good for the price. Friendly, helpful staff. Just thought It’s important to note when you check in you get charged a 500 baht key deposit. Obviously you get it back at check out if there’s no damage/loss of the key however as we were travelling on a budget and didn’t expect this cost we had to re-budget

We came during off-season so for the price we paid this place was excellent. Super clean, a nice small little gym and a great pool (although it closes at 8). The staff were very kind and helpful and our room was great as well. Always hot water, they cleaned everyday during the hours we were out and during our 3 day stay they changed sheets and towels twice (which they told us they'd do ahead of time).

Love everything about this hotel, very nice, very clean, big room, very good swimming pool, not far from walking street full of shops and restaurants but very quiet place. The value of hotel is a lot more than I paid. All staff are super friendly and helpful. Thanks for giving me the best comfortable and unforgetable trip in Koh Tao....

Great staff good location
Staff was amazing!!! Very helpful and professional. Close enough to walk to restaurants and still peaceful at night. My only complaint is the beds and pillow were super firm.

Only allowed 1 key card. Cannot change your towels for 2 days and the maid busted into our room without knocking to clean it at 9 am. Not impressed.

Great Stay!
This place was great! It's very clean, modern, has nice rooms, quiet, and has all the resources you need. The bed is super hard, and needs more blankets, and softer pillows, wasn't that comfortable. Pool wasn't heated, so I only used it once. No hot tub. Wifi could not support watching a movie. I did like the location, as it was central and I could walk to stuff. Staff were helpful. Prices were reasonable.

Nice hotel in short walking distance to main areas. Staff were very friendly and accommodating from arranging an early check in to booking our ferry tickets and transfer to the pier. Rooms are spacious and modern. Had some ants and mattress was quite firm but this is very standard for SE Asia we’ve found, We took a room with a fan only, would recommend the room with a/c if staying again.

Clean and good value for price!
The staff were really friendly and very helpful. You can rent motorbikes from the hotel (gas extra) and obtain ferry tickets from there as well. The rooms were clean and modern with air conditioning. We didn't find any bugs in the rooms, but the hallway is connected to the outside and there may be bugs at times. There is no kettle or hot beverages available in our room (not sure if that is the case for all rooms), but there is a cafe downstairs that opens at 8:30am that serves coffee. The food is quite good at the cafe downstairs. It is about a 10-15 minute walk to the beach, but the hotel has a pool attached. We had a great time at Chaantalay and felt it was great value!

bad staff but nice hotel
It was a good stay but the staff was very rude, they wouldn’t allow us to play tennis just because we didn’t have any money (we had all inclusive). We felt like we didn’t belong there and the staff didn’t talk and treat us like other guests!

As you mentioned that staff is not allowed you to play tennis at the “Garden” due to you don’t have money, it is not correct because money is not an issue for this case. In this common area is available for free of charge and all guests can utilize as the same. However, due to the space is limited and the reason why we informed you should not play a tennis in the “Garden”. In addition, at Chaantalay Hotel have no tennis course provide. Sadly, that this situation made you misunderstand our point and designed to left from our hotel. It’s a relatively new building...so everything is nice, new and clean. On a side note; There was shampoo and conditioner...no other bathroom things, shower cap, q-tips, hand soap (Used the shampoo as soap). I would have thought for this price...it would have been included.

Modern Hotel
Really nice new hotel, very modern. Negatives: Some ongoing building work during the day and the walls are quite thin. This was a real problem because there was a very noisy group of girls that kept playing loud music at 3am each night and the management seemed unwilling to do much about it either.

Good location and great value
Great hotel in Sairee beach, just far away from the action that's it's quiet but very walkable. Note that if you are not renting a motorbike it is a bit of a hike up to the hotel from the beach. Hotel is basic but we did have a nice balcony. Would be nicer if they changed the towels every day rather than every other day. Also they don't really provide very much toilet paper - there should be an extra role in there room! The front desk closes at 8:30 pm so if you run out you won't have anyone to ask. Bed was pretty hard not very comfortable. But room is clean and had a strong air conditioner. Wifi works but is a bit slow. Nice cafe in the lobby and nice pool.

Great little hotel
Hotel itself is looking quite good, small with a little pool and a restaurant - stayed there for almost 2 weeks and it was great. It''s as well good to have a scooter there, the road is ok but it's up the hill. Really recomend it

Modern Hotel - Amazing Value
The hotel was clean, comfortable and modern. The man at the front desk was kind, courteous and helpful. We rented scooters from the hotel as well. Everything was excellent. There were some ants in the room but its Thailand ! Overall it was excellent and I would definitely stay there again

The location was great if you rent a scooter. Only few minutes drive to the "main road" and beach. The room was very spacy and clean but there was no daily cleaning, at least without requesting. We also ran out of hot water pretty quickly. Receptionist was very friendly.

Room is far to bright at night with hard bed!
They have lights plugged in permanently along the roof by the AC which you can not unplug so at night it's incredibly difficult to sleep. The beds are hard as rock, super uncomfortable. Looks like a pool is in the works, I have a feeling that the price will go up once the pool has been finished. Talked to the owner briefly and he tried to rip us off, not impressed. It's a 15-20 minute walk to the beach. 3 minutes from a small grocery store. The kitchen was good but dish soap would have been nice and hand soap in the bathroom would also have been nice instead of us using our body wash each time.

Nice hotel, difficult location
From what I researched on lodging in Koh Tao, a traveler must choose between quality lodging, or location. Our room at The Chaantalay was beautiful, with a wonderful design. The location is a bit far from the beach, requiring a walk on a narrow dusty road with vehicles nearly running a walker off the road. It is a downhill 15-20 minute walk to the beach. The room had a ceiling fan and AC, but the remotes to adjust the temp and air flow didn't work. We reported this to the staff, but didn't get any assistance during our 4 day, 3 night stay. A word of advice regarding scheduling trips through the hotel: don't do it. Ask other travelers, stop into booking agencies, whatever. We asked our host to help us schedule a boat trip to snorkel 3 places for 4 hours. Once we were at the first location, the guy informed us it was 1 place for 4 hours, we had to pay 100 baht extra for the mask and snorkel, and it would cost more to go 2 places. We argued with him, but we didn't want to embarrass our host, as they were friends. We lost quite a bit of money and time due to this experience, in addition to feeling ripped off.

Wir waren hauptsächlich zum Tauchen auf Koh Tao, sodass wir eine Unterkunft in der Nähe der Tauchschule ausgesucht haben. Optisch ist das Hotel auch relativ schick und sauber und es ist schon in Ordnung, wenn man es anonym mag.. Der Service war dagegen nicht wirklich gut, es gab keinen Laundry Service, nur den Klopapier-Mülleimer im Zimmer, keinen zusätzlichen Müll außerhalb des Bads und das Personal wirkte wenig bemüht, auf Fragen einzugehen. Bspw. Frage nach einer Schüssel/einem Eimer, um einen Sonnenbrand zu kühlen: nee, haben wir nicht. Es wirkt nicht dramatisch, aber es hat uns schon irritiert, weil wir es aus anderen Unterkünften kennen, dass mehr Hilfsbereitschaft gezeigt wird. Einen Roller konnten wir dort mieten, der war aber in schlechtem Zustand, die Bremsen sollten unbedingt erneuert werden! Leider waren die Rollerparkplätze auch recht knapp bemessen. Es sind Kleinigkeiten, aber schon störende Dinge.

El lugar es muy limpio, se nota que es bastante nuevo y las habitaciones son muy agradables. La zona de la piscina muy grata y bonita. Limpieza muy bien también. Lo único a considerar es la ubicación, OJO es un poco alejado de la playa Sairee, aunque si tiene bastantes servicios al rededor, es una caminata de al menos 15 a 20 minutos para la playa. Puedes arrendar moto acá mismo y eso facilita todo. Ademas es silencioso, por si quieres estar lejos de los bares y fiestas de la playa. El personal es muy agradable también. Lo recomiendo 100%
