Used to be great bay
Positives: Location in baan tai is great for nice section of beach right outside, and restaurants, bars and the big parties close by. Negatives: Needs refurbishment generally, place shows its age, shower is not electric, matress needs changing.

Paradise on the beach
The staff here are very welcoming, friendly and helpful. There is a pool, a bar, a restaurant, massage, all on the beach. Nights at great bay You can expect BBQ and good conversation around the bar. I'd recommend this place to virtually anybody.

Not for a long stay
For a short stay, for examle if your going to koh phangan for the partylife, this is a nice hotel. The food at the hotelrestaurant is under average tasty, and the servicepeople speak little or close to no english, so its kind of hard getting what you want if you dont want exactly whats on the menu. The beach outside the hotel is big, but the water is a bit muddy and dirty. The beds are hard, but for a day or two its ok. The hotelowner is a nice and helpful lady who speaks good english!

Direkt vid stranden. En nit från byn men tuctuc, 100 bath, fanns på plats. 15.00 öppnade baren och ljudet höjdes p musiken. Sen höll det igång tills sista gästen gick hem nån gång på morgonkvisten. Trevlig personal o snabb service vid transport mm. Maten var ok. Rummen var rena på ytan men sjabbiga, fläckar på väggar o gardiner, svartmögel på gardiner. Vattnet helt brunt.

Om du kommit till koh phangang för att festa och bara ska sova bort baksmällan kanske detta ställe är något för dig. Men smutsigt dusch vatten och en hel del kryp inomhus.

Vi checkade ut samma dag som vi checkade in, trots våra 9 betalda nätter. Inte en krona tillbaka tyvärr, trots fläckarna på våra lakan, stanken som befann sig i rummen och badrummet som var kaos. Inget stämde överens med bilderna.
