“A hidden gem: we will be back.”
Our room was beautifully decorated, mainly in dark wood, with lovely fabrics. It had a desk, small couch, minibar/fridge & a large TV with DVD player (couldn’t play our region 2 discs but there were plenty available to borrow at reception.) One interesting feature was that there was a large window between the bathroom & bedroom areas. The bed was a four-poster. We had an issue for a while with the colour of the water out of the bathroom taps (brown) but that seemed largely to solve itself. A plate of a pair of treats (sweets/cakes) was delivered early each evening: a nice touch! (They were delivered regardless of whether the “do not disturb” sign was up or not – we decided this wasn’t an issue for us but as a regular traveller this does seem to me to go against the Holy Grail for hotel staff…?) The whole hotel is similarly beautifully decorated with a very upmarket “spa” feel to it – it’s a very pleasant & relaxing place to spend time. There is an abundance of plants everywhere you look. The rooms are all ranged around a courtyard, with the beautiful small to medium swimming pool taking up most of this central area. Then there is the restaurant area with steps down to the beach, which has great views over to Koh Pangang. All the staff members were absolutely delightful, as always in Thailand. They knew exactly how to strike the balance between being extremely attentive & being annoying, so we were most impressed. SUMMARY Go to The Scent Hotel, you won't regret it!
“Un petit paradis au milieu de nulle part”
Hotel petit, plein de charme, bordée par une plage de sable fin.tout y est tres raffiné,parfumé. Le petit dejeuner au bord de l eau avec nappe blanche ,porcelaine et croissants chauds! La machine Nespresso dans la chambre, le petit gateau qui vous attend le soir.La piscine À débordement que prolonge la mer. Le restaurant,cher pour la Thailande est aussi tres bon. Il faut bien choisir sa chambre car certaines donnent sur le passage des clients et d autres sont trop pres de la grande route qui longe l hotel. Il ne faut pas trop se promener sur la plage qui,sauf devant l hotel est une vraie poubelle! Pas non plus sur la route autour de l hotel.
