“Magnificent resort at Bophut Koh Samui”
My daughter and I had a wonderful stay at the Anantara Bophut Resort & Spa Koh Samui. The staff were incredibly helpful & friendly. The room was beautiful, comfortable and spotless. The food at the buffet breakfast and the restaurants was delicious and the variety and choices amazing. Our stay overall was excellent!
“Excellent Resort”
The staff were fantastic. The resort is beautiful and very close to Bophut Fishermans' Village. I would stay here again.
“Exclusive and serene”
Impeccable service and charming staff. Spa is very good but must be prepared to pay for the experience. Close to Fisherman's village where there is a good selection of restaurants. Excellent for quiet retreat.
“A dream destination”
This hotel is excellent all round. The staff are friendly and attentive. The pool has a great view over the bay. The health resort spa is a real, water-ringed sancturay within the hotel itself. The food was top notch and the BBQ on the beach a real highlight. Magical moments at night when paper lanterns were lit and uplifted into gentle breezes over the bay. The complimentary DVD selection that the desk had to offer was poor but I guess most guests use the Pay Per View or take their own favourites with them. Take earplugs if the full on sound of cicadas at sunrise isn't your thing...but we loved it!
“Excellent hotel”
Anantara Resort is definately a hotel to stay in. Service is good (applicable for a 4 star hotel) and the staff is very friendly. The hotel is located next to the sea and has its own section of the big sand color beach with sufficient number of lay down decks. The water temperature is perfect for swimming and gets quite deep quite quickly which is good for swimming. In general as it is a "small luxury hotel" we wouldnt see that it is good for children below 10 Everyday there is happy hour at the pool from 5.00 to 6.00 pm. One day we came home too late and they informed us that if we went to the restaurant area in the hotel, they offered happy hour from 6.00 to 7.00. Before arriving we considered to do an upgrade from our booked Deluxe room to Suite. However when we saw the room we were quite satisfied. It is true that for elderly people it is difficult to go into the stone bathtube/shower as it is quite high but looks very cool and is of course not a problem if you are young and can lift your legs. Next to the hotel there are many massage offerings on the beach. They all offer the same sort of Massage, starting at 250 bath for massage. The massage in Anatara resort is amazing and full of atmosphere. You can really feel that the girls are educated to do masssage compared to the beach massages. Price level is as in Europe but it is really worth it as a treat. If you want to shop bags, sunglasses you would need to go to Chaweng.
“You want somewhere nice to stay? stay here”
The only negative on this resort was the fact that the sand on the beach was corse. From start to finish, this resort was fantastic. Friendly staff, good food selection at breakfast, comfortable, relaxing resort with very good rooms. The spa experiences are well worth a try. Restaurant food is very nice as well. I would highly recommend this resort.
“Fabulous - cannot reccommend more highly”
Booked this hotel very last minute for a few days break after a business trip and when we arrived thought we had landed in heaven! The service was fabulous, the staff wonderfully friendly and helpful but discreetly so. We had such a wonderful stay we extended our trip by a few days. This is like a hidden tropical paradise on an island which is sadly becoming over commercialised. Cannot reccommend it highly enough.
“beautiful hotel with fantastic staff!!”
Stayed at the Anantara for 12nts in may , the hotel staff are fantastic and so friendly. Rooms are very comfortable. We ate in the hotel a few times which the food was very nice, I would reccommond the dine by design, which allows you to eat anywhere in the hotel grounds or on the beach on your secluded table with a dedicated staff member to serve you. I would reccommend going into fishermans village, a short walk down the road to the right of the hotel. Restaurants are very nice, especially the happy elephant and smile house. Very cheap prices as the hotel is expensive for food and drink!! Overall fantastic hotel with brilliant staff!!

“Hidden Gem”
We just got back from 5 days on Ko Samui. Stayed at Anantara and it was well worth the 20 hour trip from the United States. The hotel is exceptional and one of the best small boutique hotels that we have ever stayed at. I have nothing bad to say - fantastic location, very clean, great service, extremely quiet, but plenty to do during the day and night.
