This should not be a Travel Lodge! Travel Motel!

Posted 15-Apr-2014
Pros: Nothing, The lady at the desk on check in was polite.
Cons: Gut it and update it, try to put the Lodge in Motel.
Location: The location was decent, restaurants on that road etc.
We rented the King suite. It was hands down the most disgusting room I have ever stayed in. It smelt like cigarette smoke, has burn marks on the carpet, the walls has dents and poor patch up jobs from holes. The TV stand was something out off the 70's with all the finish worn off at the edges etc. The lamps base had rust all over it, The hot tub had tiles falling off the steps, and there was no cold water pressure. There was a microve ontop of a mini bar fridge that hung over about 6 inches on each side. No thermostate on the wall, just a knob on the heater. The only thing that was respectable was that the bathroom was clean. If it was not for the late check in, and having to contact expedia for a refund, I would of not stayed there. A local told me that this used to be the motel next to a strip club a few years back. It looks like they did not remodel at all. If I was in charge of the franchise I would remove my name from this. Worst $150 I have ever spent. See pictures attached. King Suite????

Good hotel and staff. Some guests very noisy.

Pros: Convenience. Lots of shopping/eating nearby
Only one night stay but other than noisy guests during the night, all went well.

Nice hotel, centrally located

Posted 6-Apr-2014
Pros: See above
Cons: Parking lot could be improved
Location: Close to the exit to 400.
Easily accessible both from the lobby and parking lot, using the patio doors. The fridge and microwave came in handy. The king size bed was very clean and comfortable.

Pros: very quiet/not to noisy. free Wifi, perfect.
Cons: the toilet. it kept running unless you flicked the handle upwards.

You get what you pay for

The room was clean. Just old and dark. Our heating unit didn't work and it was freezing in our room. They offered to move us to another room. But it was too late at night and we were simply to lazy to move our stuff so we decided to go the extra blanket option. They seem under staffed. I waited ten minutes before anyone got to the front desk. The girl was friendly and apologized for the wait, regardless I was annoyed. I'd stay there again. I mean I was there to sleep not enjoy the view of the room. Very conveniently located.

Good Hotel

Posted 3-Mar-2014
Pros: The rooms were clean
Cons: the coffee
Location: lots of shopping so its in a great location
The hotel was very clean, the staff was very nice the only complaint was the buffet breakfast was terrible, coffee tasted very bad, and not much of a buffet. As for the accomodations they were good for what we paid, we would stay again.

Great location - hotel - quality

Posted 25-Feb-2014
Pros: Location, location, location
Cons: Privacy drapes (sheer curtains) on the ground floor rooms. Cars park right outside the windows so not suitable to leave heavy drapes open in the day.
Location: Hwy 401 exit at Hespler - 3 min north - two shopping centres nearby. Handy for Dunfield Theatre patrons, 15-30 min drive to St Jacobs/Kitchener.
This is my second stay at this hotel in Cambridge, Ontario. Good location right on Hespeler, though the rooms are away from the busy street - quiet. Good sized room - king bed, TV, fridge & microwave, couch & desk. Clean, excellent bathroom. Breakfast is available - eggs, yogurts, fruits, muffins, bagels, toast, cereals, juice, coffee, teas. Very pleasant weekend front desk staff.

You got more than what you paid.

The air ventilation seems not great in yhe room. But the overall the service and comfort you received is desired the amount you paid. Not a bad choice.

Pros: Everything.
Cons: N/A
Location: BRILLIANT location. All the needed amenities can been seen from your room's window!
A very warm/gentle unexpected experience while staying there! With the great price, something had to give...but everything was 5 stars! :)

an ideal hotel for budget-minded business traveler

Posted 12-Jan-2014 on Hotels.com
This hotel is inexpensive, well-maintained and well-located for anyone traveling for business to the Kitchener-Waterloo-Guelph-Cambridge area. It's not the prettiest hotel nor in the prettiest location, but if you're doing business in more than one of the above mentioned areas and are looking for a good central spot while trying to keep costs low and a comfortable sleep, this is an ideal choice. Free breakfast and wifi.
