“This hotel was just what we needed”
We were attending our son's graduation from U of Waterloo. We booked two rooms so that his sisters could also attend along with our two grandsons. We found the price for the two rooms very reasonable. The front counter staff were very accomodating to get us the rooms adjacent to each other and also extending the check out time so we could attend the commencement ceremonies and come back to change and check out when they were completed.
“Handy, well-priced, and convenient”
This is a nice hotel on Weber Street, close to the train station, with a Golden Griddle restaurant attached. Rooms were great and spacious, the price was very reasonable, and I was only about 5 mins away from my destination in Uptown Waterloo.
“Serviceable and Inexpensive”
The Comfort Inn in Waterloo is a serviceable hotel which is very convenient to downtown Waterloo and inexpensive. There is an attached restaurant which serves a good breakfast, and there are several other restaurants within walking distance (assuming it isn't too cold!). I couldn't get the wireless internet access to work, and the in-room accomodations are a little bit old and run-down (like the heater), but it is clean and seems safe. I have stayed there 2 times this month, and will return again.
“Close and Affordable”
If your in need of a place to stay close to downtown Waterloo or the University this is the place to stay. Reasonable priceing and location is great.
“Not impressed”
Upon checking in, the person behind the desk made me wait for 3-4 minutes when there was no one else around. The room smelled, the sink was not clean and there were stains on the bed. In the morning, the power went out in the entire hotel (not weather related). There was no emergency lights, we couldn't use the bathroom so we just left.
