Where do I start, bed badly made, pillows awful, and just a bed sheet directly on the mattress, nothing in between like a topper which meant you could feel the buttons on the mattress when you lie down, towel rail in bathroom hanging off and fan on ceiling filthy. No fridge in room, no water or even glasses to drink from. Basic for a cup of tea or coffee. Does no one check the rooms before they let guests in. Had to ask for products in bathroom to be replaced as I had used them. When we checked in we were told food in Jock’s Bar finished orders at 20.45, we were there by 20.30 and waiter told us they had stopped taking orders, I insisted as I was a resident and eventually we were told we could order something. Next evening we made sure we were there by 20.00, we ordered food again and waited nearly an hour for it. Food was okay, nothing special. We used to stay in Kinross, always thought The Green looked like a really special place and were so looking forward to staying there. What a disappointment. Certainly would never recommend it to anyone and thought for the price we were charged, it was expensive compared to other hotels we had stayed in. I did think the reception area was lovely and I believe some of the bedrooms have been upgraded, but ours certainly wasn’t and don’t think they should be charging what they did for our.
