Friendly staff, wide room, wide bed, clean. Very satisfied.

I was really satisfied with my stay at Quality Inn. The price was reasonable, the room was clean and comfortable. The complementary breakfast was excellent.

“Good for short stay”

Pretty good place to stay. Rooms are not "awesome"...but enough for a short stay. Very clean with microwave and fridge. AC can be annoying during the night but no big deal. Surrounded by great grocery and general necessities shopping options. Breakfast is not very good. After we left and arrived home we realized our daughter had left behind her teddy bear! We called the hotel and explained and after a few minutes got a call back telling us they had found the bear and that they would prepare it for shipment and have it ready to pickup by a courier of our choosing. VERY HAPPY about that!! Tina at the front desk was great in sorting this out for us...

“Fairly good; dining room good for dinner, not for complimentary breakfast.”

We have mixed feelings about our two day stay. Despite getting a senior rate we were placed on the 2nd floor (without elevator) and, after lugging our bags upstairs and unlocking the door, found that the safety latch had somehow been set. Kindly younger neighbour went for help; I discovered that windows could be slid open (some security!), neighbour went through opening and let us in. On 1st day buffet breakfast was a catastrophe; crowded with people going from both ends with no supervision from young waitress. On 2nd day breakfast at about 8 am, wanted cereal, but was told that THERE WAS NO MILK!

“Not good as I expected!”

The building was old and first thing I noticed when I walk in is the smell of the room is quit bad! Customer service is ok and the hotel provide a great breakfast.

“Small, dirty, dark, and dingy”

I've stayed in many "road" motels, and though this wasn't the worst, it wasn't great. The room is small -- that's not such a bad thing, but it was dark and the hotel tried to put too many pieces of furniture in, as though it was a large-size hotel room. The carpet was old and dirty. The furniture was battered and looking old. There were bits of food in between the duvet and the bed spread. The water pressure is OK, but not very strong. I suspect you can do better in Gananoque -- maybe not in terms of room size, but probably in terms of room cleanliness and quality of furniture. I was not comfortable in this room.
