“Good place to stay for the price”
The front desk staff were very friendly, the room was clean, and the continental breakfast included was pretty good. The hotel is close to a bunch of restaurants and a grocery store.
“great place to visit”
really pleased with all aspects- spoke english to 4 Ontarians without a second thought -breakfast was great too- everything was very good- we sure would go back!
“a very nice stay”
WE liked everything. The only disadvantage we could find was only the view to a carrier, but it did not matter for us, as for the people satisfied with everything else. The room was quite large, there were all necessary amenities, like a refrigerator, a coffee maker, a microwave oven ( no iron). We felt well there. The staff was polite. The free breakfast was ok. The thing that it was presented on the pool (billiards) table did not matter either, as the room in general was cozy. The closeness to a plaza ( 5 min on foot) was of a help. So, we would gladly stay there again.
“Good value”
Staff were great. Continental Breakfast was quite good. Pool was nice. Close to several mid tier chain restaurants and all the usual fast food places. Close to main highway. Comfortable. Room was cleaned well but carpet was a bit damp when we checked in. Key was fiddley to turn. Overall, very good for the price.
“Trying hard”
The view is not great - quarry in the back. This hotel has seen better days but it appears owners are working hard to restore it. Our room was quite comfortable, it was quiet at night and the breakfast was nice.
“First Canada Inn, Kingston - bon rapport qualité/prix”
Personnel serviable et courtois, petit déjeuner continental adéquat
“Good location, nice indoor pool and breakfast.”
Bring your own hair dryer as the rooms do not have one. They did have hairdryers at reception but were all loaned out to other guests and the staff representative didn't seem to interested in my wet hair. Soap, shampoo and conditioner are in a dispenser container for conservation reasons, and you may wish to bring you own. Confirm the check out time because we were told initially noon but then was told it was 11.00am. Check in was quick and we received the room as requested and billing was correct. The indoor pool and spa is nice and the breakfast was good for being continental style. Free wi-fi and parking are a bonus. The location was great because you have every restaurant chain including a food store a dollarama within walking distance. Our son is attending university near by and would recommend this hotel for families.
“Good value for the money.”
Having to stay one night in Kingston to visit my daughter attending Queens I chose this hotel. I didn't want too pay too much as I was travelling alone. The motel was clean and up to date and offered a free continental breakfast. The location was close to the 401 and easy to find. If I was staying any longer than one night I would have chosen a hotel closer to the waterfront and all the action, but for my purposes it suited me fine.I would recommend this motel under these conditions.
“Great pool, average hotel.”
Great pool. Nice and clean, nice and warm, great location in the hotel. Very average rooms. Not alot of room in the bathroom.
