“Charming!”

All-in-all we were greatly impress by this Best Western Hotel. Hotel staff was super friendly and the room was fantastic. While we only stayed one night, we would consider going back there for a couple of more nights. The food at the Bistro Stefan Restaurant was very good, same as breakfast.

“Love this place”

We alway stay at this hotel when in Kingston. The rooms are comfortable and full of character, as is Tom's Place, the pub at the hotel. The food there and at the restaurant is very good, and the staff are unfailingly friendly and helpful. There's no better place to stay in Kingston.

“Charming”

Charming and welcoming, a nice surprise at my first Best Western visit. Soundproofing an issue.

“Perfectly adequate.”

Perfectly adequate hotel and room. The electric fireplace in our room was a nice touch on a winter's night. Only complaint was with the room heating controls on the heating/cooling unit.. Never could figure out how to make those things work properly.

“Cozy and charming”

This is a homey and rustic kind of hotel with canopy king beds, electric brick fireplaces and comfy stuffed armchairs/couches. It's not modern or pristine but that adds to its charm. I do think they could put a bit more elbow grease into their room cleaning but it's not dirty or anything. When we stayed there in Feb., the complementary breakfast was a served meal and was very good. This time they were doing it as a buffet and it was quite bland and had a very limited selection of items. But since we are there to visit our son who is a student at Queen's University, it gives us a cozy, comfortable and large room to hang out in with him in the evenings. Bed is very comfortable but quite high. I'm a tall person but found it a challenge to hoist myself up there! Maybe a little bedside step stool would help? The price is great and we don't mind the few drawbacks. We'll be back.

“Fireside Inn - comfortable place to stay”

Tom's Place restaurant is a very pleasant alternative - very comfortable "wing chairs" instead of regular chairs or bench seats give you a "cozy and relaxing" home feeling. Rooms were comfortable especially the King-size bed. The heating can be a little hard to regulate (at least in the room we had). Bathrooms have limited counter space and could be cleaned a little better. It was very clean at eye level and below but they neglected to wipe down the tile ceiling over the bathtub/shower. Overall would recommend this Hotel.

“Very inviting... fireplace and all.”

I always love coming to the Best Western, Fireside Inn. A fireplace in every room... great to relax after a hectic day. The dining room Stephan's Bistro has wonderful food with great presentation and the young lady I had serving me was extremely pleasant. I didn't go into the lounge area... Tom's Place, but it looked comfortable and just right for a gathering of friends. I forgot two items of clothing in the closet and was called to say they had them, since I will be in Kingston in the next month I just asked them to hold on to them for me and they graciously agreed to do that for me. It was a very enjoyable experience, and although I don't normally go too far as a woman travelling alone, I must say that I felt very comfortable without that normal feeling of being awkwardly 'alone'. Great job!
