“Weekend getaway”

My husband was pleased with the way we were greated .The staff were willing to lookup what was playing at local shows for our evening out after my workshop. The hotel had upgraded us from a standard queen room to a double queen room . The food was wonderful from the restraunt and staff were very polite and helpful. My husband and myself have stayed at other hotels in this area but have never been as satisfied as we were this time. Our intent is next time we decide to come to this area, we will return to this hotel and use your services again to book .

“Great stay”

This hotel was a very pleasant surprise - there was a cancellation so we were given a free upgrade, the room was clean and pleasant, the bedding was fresh and homey and the beds were unbelievably comfortable. There were a lot of families staying in the hotel the weekend we were there but the room was quiet and we slept well. I would recommend this hotel to even the most difficult traveller!

“This place is very decent...”

This hotel was fine for the night we stayed there. Bed (queen) was a little too firm for me but it was decent, room was clean, large room- was a little plain {no paintings, mirror (except for bathroom), etc]. TV was not working when we got in room and they had to send someone up to address it. He came quickly and did fix it although it appears that the TV can be "finicky" to turn on, which was weird, but it worked fine once he addressed whatevr issue he addressed. We found staff to be "very friendly" and helpful. eg brought some shave cream packs up to my room, allowed us to take our partially full beer and wine glass up to room from the bar downstairs. So, yes, very good place for the price in the area, I think. That was the second time that I had stayed there.

“family hotel”

The Ambassador is close to the 401, although not noisy. It has a great water park with slide. Buffet breakfast was good. The room itself is not all that comfortable; it is crowded, and has leaky taps.

“Average at best for the price”

Staff were courteous & friendly, but the general condition of the hotel was somewhat worn looking. The elevator/room access cards would frequently require several attempts before working, and the desk clerk advised us to not leave them too close to our cell phones. . . . ??? The carpet in the room was badly stained, and the coffee setup had obviously not been used for some time & should have been replaced. The air conditioning was quite noisy above the first setting. We stayed there only because there was nothing available at any of the chain hotels downtown, and in the same circumstance we would go there again. Given a choice however, we would opt for somewhere else.

“Not Impressed.”

The hotel rooms were quite small, one of the smallest we have ever stayed in. The heating system in the rooms were old. There was no thermostat just a old wall heater with control settings that were low, high or off so you had to continually adjust it. And to make matters worse, because the rooms were so small and we needed a crib, the only place it would fit was in front of the heater. We booked this hotel because of the indoor waterpark. We thought the kids would have a blast however it was so cold in the building that none of us could enjoy it. The air was so cold that their staff in the pool area were wearing sweaters, pants, socks, mitts (yes, mitts!) and drinking hot beverages. We did express disapointment in the waterpark to the front desk while checking out and was told it was a common complaint from guests. I would not recommend this hotel!
