“nothing too much trouble”

i was welcommed at Kydon with a tray of fruit . raki. and nuts, after having checked in with the most helpful staff. took an orientation walk and found the municipal market just opposite, and bus terminal was only 500m from hotel. on the way you go through a nice square with a great coffee shop(gregorys). very important note for when connections are crucial---wake up call was to the very minute.

“Outstanding Staff”

Kydon Hotel's staff far exceeds anyone's expectations. Everyone is friendly and speaks outstanding English. The location is perfect to walk to all the hot spots. No, it's not on the water...but no problem if you don't mind a little walk down the streets of beautiful Chania. The rooms are outdated, but clean (which is really most important). If you have traveled outside the US the rooms should suit you fine. If not, be aware star ratings are not the same outside of the US. Keep in mind you are on an island in Greece, so you should have a realistic expectation I would recommend this hotel to anyone!

“Not a 4-Star Hotel”

As soon as I checked into this hotel, I was ready to check-out. Unfortunately, there are few options in Chania in the Winter season, so I was stuck at the Kydon. This was a very disappointing hotel stay. The only impressive thing about this hotel is the lobby. You may notice on their website, that they really emphasize pics of the lobby. The rest of the hotel needs to be updated. The linens and decor was old. The room smelled. The bed was as hard as a rock. When I mentioned this to the hotel staff, they stated they would put a mattress pad on my bed, but never did. The best part about my stay was checking-out.
