No expense was spared here. Our room was tiny but felt extremely plush with new light carpeting, fluffy white pillows and bedding. Tea and cakes tucked away in the cabinet for us. The dining room is very elegant and the food amazing, I had the smoked salmon with eggs and the portion was enough for two people. My aunt had the waffles and said they were the best she ever had.

This quiet property is a little off the beaten path yet close to everything on Dingle Peninsula. It has a beautiful view of the bay. It is very affordable, the rooms have nice touches and the breakfast is wonderful. This is our third time to stay there and we love the staff.

Best of the 6 places we stayed in Ireland
My family and I spent a week touring Ireland, staying in 2 hotels and 4 B&B's in Dublin, near Cork, in Castlegregory, in Shannon, and near Galway. Without question, our best experience was here at the Shores B&B in Castlegregory! Annette and her staff made us feel right at home. We loved the relaxing views of the ocean in front and the peaceful hills in the back. The ocean view from the dining room is amazing, and breakfast was above and beyond anywhere else we stayed. Castlegregory is the perfect place to get away from the busy city streets and walk the beach or take a leisurely drive through the mountains. The sights through Conor pass and along the Dingle peninsula are breathtaking. We hope to revisit Ireland and next time book a longer stay at the Shores B&B.

I recently stayed in this property and it excelled all of my expectations, from the moment i arrived i was made feel welcome, the propeery itself is exceptional, spotlessly clean, and has everuthing you could wish for, inc.complimentary homemade fruitbread in your room, its not often that i am speeches but the views from my room were spectacular and with the most stunning beach less than 5 minutes away you can not go wrong with The shores guesthouse. Theyre are also fantastic restaurants close by and the beautuful dingle is a short drive away Annette and Jose made exceptional efforts to make sure all my needs where met whilst being lucky enough to stay in this wonderful guest house

Couldn’t have been a nicer place to stay. The Shores is like a 5 Star accommodation. Annette is a class act. You can see by all the details in the lovely B&B. Our room had all the comforts of home. It was squeaky clean. Breakfast was incredible. Simply cannot say enough about this beautiful place. The ocean is right across the street so the views are just incredible. Thank you for a wonderful experience. We cannot wait to return!

Where to begin. Spectacular setting. Ocean view past patchwork pastures leading down to the shore. So clean, beautifully furnished, and decorated that when I opened the door to walk in I hesitated. Actually considered removing my shoes. The breakfasts were superb. Our flight out required us to leave very early on our final day. The evening before our last day we informed the owner, Annette, that we want to check out and arrange payment that evening. She was happy to oblige and asked if she could give us a breakfast tray that evening. Sounded good to us. About ten minutes later she returned with cereal, fruit, brown bread, butter, a small drip coffee pot ready for hot water, and a thermos style carafe of milk. I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay. Annette and her staff are wonderful. If you will be on or near the Dingle peninsula you must consider the Shores Country House Bed & Breakfast.

This our second year staying at The Shores. Everything is perfect. We travel extensively and stay at a myriad of B&Bs. The Shores is by far the best, in all categories. The location (views) the owner (Annette) and her fantastic staff and the cleanliness of the rooms coupled with the truly “Best breakfast in Ireland” make for an unforgettable stay. You would do yourself well to stay here and enjoy their every attention to detail. Truly an enjoyable experience......

What a lovely place!! The hostess was so kind and attentive, the room was clean and comfortable with a beautiful view of the ocean, and the location was great - very quiet and close to Dingle and the Slea Head Drive. Excellent service, elegant decor, and such a warm welcome. Can’t recommend it highly enough.

i wish we had more time there!
i wish we had more time at this hotel, it was absolutely stunning. i've never seen a place so clean or well kept. the staff couldnt be friendlier or more helpful. like something out of a hallmark movie. would definitely stay here again!

Lovely B&B, but a bit too small for a family of 4 as far as seating. Room wasn't ready when we arrived and they only accept cash, so we had to drive 4 miles into the nearest town to get cash. Very clean and nice ocean view.

Dear Elizabeth, Thank you for staying with us recently. I am delighted to hear you enjoyed your stay with us . Our apartment is considered quiet large but as you arrived in the evening time I decided to make up the two bed couches for your children which would explain the shortage of seating area -normally these would act as couches /sitting area during daytime and convert into sleeping for the night time. We do not offer card facilities however guests are informed of this on hotels.com website and also I send a confirmation letter stating this to all guests before they are due to arrive so that they can be prepared and can avoid a three mile journey to the nearest ATM. Host is friendly. Overall accommodations suited us well with kitchen. Excellent bed linens and comfort. Host did not allow us use of the heating system and instead required us to use a small, noisy portable unit. Place somewhat dusty with lots of tchotchke items that could be cleared away and collect less dust.

We provide top thread bed linen for guests comfort and clean every place each day - you should have brought the dust to my attention as We carry out a daily cleaning of every place to ensure a dust free environment as we are fanatical on cleanliness and which is constantly commented on by guests . With regards to heating when you mentioned you required heating I turned it on and actually double checked by visiting you that the heaters were turned on as all other guests at the time required no heating as we were experiencing unusually high temperatures at the time of your stay with fantastic sunshine , we provide a new heater for guests extra comfort which has two settings and runs very smoothly - oil heating was provided throughout your stay . thanks again, Annette

Mesmerizing B&B with a beach view
Could not express how much Annette has an eye for details, everything was just perfect, great and comfortable room, with a great ocean view. From all the recommendations about places to go and great conversation to the AMAZING food and morning on her beautiful house. At the end she also gave us an Easter Egg, so attention to detail is what I took from that awesome stay.

Our stay at Shores Country House B&B was nothing short of fantastic. It was the cleanest and best maintained place we have ever stayed at, including 4 and 5 star hotels. The rooms are charming without being too cheesy. The owner and the employees are super friendly and helpful. The breakfast was simply amazing. The owner asked us what we want from many more choices than your usual breakfast buffet and she improvised to cater even more to our taste. I'm lactose intolerant and to my great surprise she was completely prepared for that. She was able to prepare dishes for me that I'm never able to eat in any other hotel or restaurant. The presentation and quality of the food were fist class too. We loved it so much that we ended up staying an extra day.

Wonderful experience at The Shores. My wife raved about the crisp and clean sheets. We thoroughly the visit with only a couple of very minor annoyances. The parking was very limited, especially when the staff was there. Some cars had to be moved in order to get out. We did have some issues with hot water and the radiators not working reliably. That led us to the next issue--the lack of management presence. There was no way that we could determine to get in touch with Annette if you had problems. No phone, text, email, nothing. Again, these are Very Minor issues and we would not hesitate to stay here again if we are in the area.

Simply divine!
This place has an amazing view, tasteful interior, and you get to Dingle via the beautiful O'Connor Pass. Annette is simply a delight and a very talented cook. I just adore her. She was kind enough to share her brown bread recipe which is the best we had in Ireland. I've been trying to find the ingredients in the US so I hope the outcome will compare to hers!

Perfect first B&B experience
Annette is a wonderful host in her beacutiful home. Breakfast was plentiful, fresh and delicious. Everything requires driving to get to but that would be true wherever you stay in this area. Great view of the ocean across the road. Rent a small car for narrow roads!

The owner Annette is fabulous! She is warm, friendly, fun and very accommodating. If I lived in the area, we would be great friends! The breakfast was just wonderful. Great experience...
What a lovely B&B. Annette was a wonderful host; food was great; beautiful home in an amazing location. Highly recommended. Only thing is that they don't accept credit cards so make sure you have cash or you will have to take a quick stop into Castlegregory for an ATM.
