“A Gem in Killarney”
Stayed at the Arbutus for a week and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff was amazing and they were attentive to every need. The only critcism I can find is that while the hotel advertised and had WiFi service, it was not available to our room which was too far from the router and we had to go down to the lobby to connect. The upside of that is that the staff brought out a tray of tea and the best ginger bread I have every had to enjoy while we surfed the web and checked email. Would definitely return.
“Faultless friendly hotel”
Excellent hotel.Situated in central location.Staff could not be more helpful Very good breakfast with wide choice.Would definitely use this hotel again.Wonderful service all round.
“Beautiful Downtown Killarney Hotel”
Everything was great! We loved it!
“A thoroughly delightful experience”
My family and I spent 2 nights at the Arbutus Hotel and we couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stay. The rooms were comfortable, the staff was outstanding, and the food was terrific. In particular, I cannot say enough about how helpful the staff were. They cheerfully answered all our questions about the best routes to travel for sightseeing, told us hold to locate the most inexpensive place to park, booked our bus tour of the Ring of Kerry, and went out of their way in general to make our stay most pleasant. I would highly recommend this hotel.
“Great Hotel”
Hotel was really perfect. Everything about the location, rooms, staff, etc. was exactly as expected, and even exceeded expectations. Staff went out of their way to make my wife, myself and our 2 children (age 13 and 17) feel welcomed.
“Everything we expected in a Killarney Hotel and more!”
We cannot say enough great things about the Arbutus Hotel. The place is charming, the staff friendly and helpful and the location is terrific. It even has an on-site pub with traditional entertainment. The enormous Irish breakfast kept us going for hours and the staff even recommended some lovely, inexpensive places for dinner. We had to leave at 4:00 AM to catch our return flight and they even insisted on making us fresh coffee with our wake up call! We traveled all over the country, all four and five star hotels/castles, but this was absolutely our favorite.
“Great place to stay”
This hotel is family run and right in the middle of Killarney. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there
“100,000 Welcomes”
If you want to experience staying in a hotel run by the same family for over 80 years and where the staff really do care about you and your vacation then The Arbutus is for you. WE were made feel at home the moment we walked in the door. Irish atmosphere, history and hospitality at it's very best. Great inside tips as to where to go and what to do along with lovely chats in the bar or by the fire in the foyer. Looking forward to our next visit
“Excellent hotel in Killarney”
Great location in Killarney. Nice, large room. Very good breakfast, and helpful staff who recommended great day trips, sites to see, and restaurants with vegetarian food.
“Great staff and location”
Spent two nights at this hotel. Family owned, staff were very friendly, they provided great restaurant recommendations and were helpful with whatever we needed. There was also a nice pub downstairs with a live band while we were there. It was a very pleasant visit to Killarney.
