Arrived earlier than planned but room was ready and we had quick access.
Situated in large grounds with good outdoor sitting experiences.
Was close to Canterbury City Centre and were provided with a City Centre map by staff.

Stayed here for 2 nights during August 2014 and found our room and all the common areas to be spotlessly clean.
This is a very old building, so may not be for you if you are expecting a modern hotel, with modern facilities.
All staff were very friendly and helpful.
Would definitely return.
This was my first visit to Kent and I came on a business trip. My hotel requirements are: a clean and comfortable room, a bar and restaurant, and a fitness room. The room was small, but otherwise fine. The bar had a choice of three draft beers and virtually anything else you could want. There's a pub within walking distance (The Crown and Rose -or vice versa). If I return, I'll check it out. The restaurant was exceptional. I ate there four nights and wasn't disappointed. The "catch of the day" featured local fresh fish (Halibut and sea bass when I was there). The breakfast buffet was also good. Tips were included if you charge to your room. I wish they had told me. The fitness room is a converted squash court. The equipment was worn and dated. It lacked cardio equipment. A treadmill or recumbent bike would have boon nice. I went for morning walks. The sidewalks are rather narrow, but it's in an interesting village.
