Great stop on way thru AtlantaPosted 15-Apr-2014
Pros: Room size and cleanliness
Cons: Access to property
Location: Just passing thru. Very close to Interstate
Booked thru Expedia and pleased with hotel and staff. Location somewhat off the beaten path, but worth the effort to find it.

There is nothing bad I can say except I expect more from a $100/night hotel

Nice stay.Posted 31-Mar-2014
Nice staff, nice room conditions, breakfast area could have been better organized, looked like a heard of pigs went through ie tables needed wiped down. But they had one man on staff to maintain it all, and he was trying. The variety of food offered was good. There was no exhaust fan in our bathroom which isn't that big of a deal, but worth mentioning.

Pros: Staff helpful and friendly.
The hotel is tucked back off main roads and not easy to locate.

Do NOT believe the marketing!Posted 24-Feb-2014
Pros: Quiet rooms.
Location: Near Cobb Town Center...lots of shopping, restaurants and the mall. Very close to I-75.
Seriously under-staffed. We were here to look at housing so we intended to stay at least a week. In that time, we have had an issue with housekeeping for 5 of 7 days. We stayed in our room a little long in the morning and we were told that was why our room was not cleaned. So the next day, we told the housekeeper as we were leaving, we're out now and she said OK. Nope - room not made when we got back and had to go to front desk to get towels. Left earlier today and still dirty towels and beds not made. So, back to the front desk with an armload of dirty towels this time. We've heard "miscommunication", someone "had to go home" for a sick child (OK, so doesn't someone else step in?). Staff is polite and apologetic. As for food, oatmeal is awful, grits are hard and, yes, "gritty". Geez. The best thing is the insulation...the rooms are quiet.

Have stayed here numerous times and there's always one thing that keeps it from being perfect. The last stay was a toliet that moved when you sat on it. This stay was old, dirty wash clothes left in the bathroom with worn linens on the bed. Since the renovations with the beautiful new look these are things that really take away from a lovely hotel stay.

Good valuePosted 7-Feb-2014
Pros: Clean and safe.
Cons: Maybe a curfew for the children.
Location: Plenty of places to eat and shop. Very well developed area.
This hotel was overall a good place to stay. Although tucked off the main drag, it's close to most anything you might need such as stores, restaurants and close proximity to the interstate. Breakfast area was clean and well maintained. The only real problem I had was the noise level created by some small children running the halls and slamming doors after 11pm.
Hi Mike, I am glad you posted your experience that you have at the Wingate. It is good to hear that you enjoyed the the cleanliness of the hotel. We pride ourselves on making sure that every guests that stays with us enjoys their visit. I am sorry that you have to experience the noises that were caused by children after 11 pm. I will be sure to address these issues with my staff so we can make sure that we do not have guests inconvenienced again at this late hour by children. Sincerely, Georgette Lake General Manager

Poor Customer ServicePosted 3-Feb-2014
Cons: New management
I had 6 double rooms paid 2 months in advanced. When we arrived they told the 12 of us they had no rooms. They were rude about out, I called Expedia, and they contacted the hotel and the hotel staff were rude to them as well.
