“Kauai without rain”
The 3:45 am alarm rooster should have been put in a stew pot
“Convenient and inexpensive”
My partner and I enjoyed our stay. It was very close to the airport and conveniently located for many trips around the island. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was definitely a good bargain.
“Nice place!”
I can tell only good things about this hotel. We sayed there twice. During that time I had to do some business work and Gloria helped me out so much with scanning and mailing paperworks. Also if you want to store your luggage they will help you out for free. So all in all i would recommend this place for a layed back start on Kauai. The rooms are clean (my girlfriend said it was ok so it was hospital clean :-). they have a small flatscreen TV, a fridge, a coffee maschine and a ceiling fan. Till Next Time Paul Advice: if you want to stay at the eastshore too check out the reviews on "kauai international hostel" before you go there. I did the mistake to read them afterwards.
“Small but Clean, NO BUGS”
I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the rooms. They are small, but comfortable. There was a new flatscreen TV and remote that worked, coffeemaker with 3 packets of Kona blend coffee and real cream, not the little kit with powdered creamer that most hotels give you. Some rooms have air conditioners, others have ceiling fans. I've been in both, and the ceiling fan was able to keep the room comfortably cool. I didnt need to turn on the air conditioner. It is close to Kukui Grove offices and stores, Costco, Wal-mart, etc. The manager/owner Ron, was very helpful at checkout in the morning with setting up a commercial account providing cheaper rates, upgraded rooms, and 1 free night after 10. He also recommended a reliable auto rental agency.
“Would love to go back.”
Very clean and friendly staff. i liked the location alot. The price was the lowest on the Island as far as I know. The only down side is that the room was small maybe 200 sq. ft.
“Charming and Quaint”
The absolute friendliest staff! They will make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. The hotel is adorable and clean! It is right around the corner from the best saimin in the world too! They have pastries and coffee every morning for you with friendly service as well. There is also a washer and dryer to use! I can't say enough good things about this hotel. If you are looking for a place with true aloha spirit - look no further.

Great location for walking tour of Lihue. Easy to reach from airport by Kauai Bus.
“Great little hotel”
Amazingly friendly and helpful people working here. I stayed for just one night but the room was a decent cheaper hotel room. Bed was clean and comfortable and the room had all the basics needed. I would stay for a short time here again.
“LAID BACK AND UNPRETENTIOUS”
I WOULD RECOMMEND THE PALMS HOTEL TO ANYONE.ALTHOUGH ITS NOT THE RITZ HOTEL, THE ROOM THAT I GOT WAS CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE AND THE STAFF WAS FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. THE LOCATION IS NOT THAT EASY TO FIND ESPECIALLY IF THATS YOUR FIRST VISIT TO KAUAI.
“No-fuss comfort for the on-the-go traveler.”
The staff was very nice. The room was small but very comfortable. I only paid for a non-A/C room but got one anyway, for the same cheap price. The price through Expedia really can't be beat. The beds were fragrant and soft, unlike some hotels' stiff beds. The mini fridge and complimentary coffee and maker came in super handy. And the ice machine saved me buying a bag of ice at the store. Clean, good shower pressure and hidden in the middle of town. 3 service at a 1 star price!
