“Excellent Choice”

Excellent setting. Beautiful ocean views near the pool and the bar area. Very convenient location. Parking is expensive.

“Really nice place to stay in Kauai”

I booked my stay at the Couryard by Marriott Kauai at the last minute, having decided to go to Hawaii on very short notice when airfare dipped considerably. The hotel rate fit my budget and the fact that they had a room available for me were my only real considerations at the time for booking my stay there. Upon arrival, however, I immediately realized how nice this hotel is. Having just been largely renovated, the hotel is perfectly clean and stylishly decorated throughout (the reception area, restaurant, lounge, pool area, etc.). The rooms are large, comfortable and, again, very nicely decorated. The hotel sits right on the beach in a very central location, making it ideal for visiting all parts of the island. The staff were all very nice and accomodating. All in all, just a very nice place to stay while visiting Kauai and I'd definitely stay there again.

“Outstanding”

The Hotel staff was very friendly and the hotel itself is clean and has a resort feel to it without the high resort prices. It's right on the beach and the view at sunrise is priceless.

“nice renovated place”

very nice renovated hotel. We got a free upgrade to a pool/ocean view room. The size of the room and lanai is a bit small. The beach is small.

“Expected hotel, but got a beautiful RESORT, wow!!!”

We were absolutely blown away by our experience at this Courtyard Marriot!! We felt bad asking for an early check in at 10:30 since our flight had just gotten in, but Lissa had no problem giving it to us. On top of that, she surprised us with an ocean-view upgrade, a lei greeting and a cut pineapple with mixed fruit delivered to our room! I think we got special treatment because I mentioned that it was our anniversary and that my husband was in the military, but for whatever reason we were more than appreciative! Aside from that, the rooms are so beautifully decorated, and the hotel itself has so much to offer (yoga classes, lei making, basket weaving, etc.) After a long day exploring Kauai, it felt amazing to relax in the wonderful hot tub and chill by the amazing encased-fire seating area. What we expected from this place was just a hotel, but what we got was an unexpectedly beautiful and entertaining resort. Lissa- if you're reading this now, know that you deserve a raise because I will recommend the Courtyard Marriot to EVERYONE I know who ever visits Kauai! Mahalo :)

“Great Hotel, would stay again”

My husband and I have visited Kauai before, but this was our first stay with this hotel. The staff who greeted us and helped us check in were very helpful and friendly. They provided hotel and local information and answered all of our questions. The food and drinks were also very good. I am not sure if they provide room service or not because we did not attempt to order, but there were not any room service menus in the rooms so I assumed they did not. This hotel is close to the town of Kapaa and everything is within walking distance. I would second the advice of another reviewer and say order shrimp from the Shrimp Station instead of in the hotel. For a full plate of shrimp and rice at the Shrimp Station you can get three shrimp at the Marriott. Overall, we would stay here again.

“Very Pleased”

This hotel exceeded our expectations. The staff was exceptionally courteous, the hospitality at the front desk was top notch! The food at the restaurant was great, the pool area and surrounding grounds were very well kept, and the whole hotel has been newly renovated. I would not hesitate to stay here again. Fast, free Wi-Fi, but a $14/night parking fee applies. The workout room is all brand new life fitness equipment. The beach is not a great swimming beach (shallow reef) but there are tons of other amazing beaches to swim at in Kauai.

“Very happy!”

We stayed here for 3 nights after coming in from Maui. Due to the construction going on, they upgraded us to an ocean view --well worth a bit of maintanence for that room! We heard no noise at all. Ppl were friendly and the beach was right outside. The only negative I would say was the buffet -- kind of plain. But the menu items were delicious. Would definitely recommend! I usually order 4 star hotels and stayed here at the fiancé's request and I'm very glad I did!
