“Great for families”

I had stayed at this condo when I was a teenager with my parents and now I have taken my kids. I would go back any day. We stayed on a ground floor 2 BR/2 BA unit. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. Our unit had recent updates, but each unit is individually owned, so some of them are vintage 1980s. Checking in after hours, you have to go to the Lani Kai 1st to get your key, about 1/2 mile down the road (near Lydgate Park) It is not easy to find in the dark (and with tired kids!) So make sure to plan for this. Also, make sure to bring or buy bug spray. The mosquitos are out at night in force. All in all, however, loved it. The "keiki pond" is great for the young kiddos and the setting is relaxing for the grownups.

“Castle Lae Nani”

This really is a nice little place for families, quiet, great swimming (in both the pool and the reef-protected beach), small, in a great location in Kapa'a. It's important to note that it really is not part of the Lae Nani resort but part of Castle's Lanikai system. This was really confusing, especially if you're coming in after hours (office open 11-3pm). It is actually next door to Lan Nani in the Lanikai resort.

“Great place to stay”

We loved it here! We were moved to adjacent Lani Kai property and were very happy with the move. More private. Same access to pools and beach. We traveled with 4 teenagers and they loved it. They especially loved the short walk to the Coconut Marketplace and Aloha Pizza! Centrally located on island. They had a lock box for our late arrival that was very convenient and easy to use. The staff was remarkably helpful and very friendly. Rooms were very clean and well kept. The pool area was sparkling too! Would travel back there for sure if we didn't end up buying a time share down the road.

“Beautiful location”

Had a wonderful time. The landscaping at the hotel was georgous. Lot of fun things to do and see. Snorkeling with the sea turtles was probley the favorite. We had a great trip and would recommend it to anyone that enjoys the outdoors.

“Extraordinary condo location”

There are five buildings in this resort, and we were located in the one closest to the ocean on the second (of two) floors. The views were spectacular and the unit large, well maintained and very clean. A wonderful place to stay and the location of the resort is conducive to seeing the entire island - north and south, which is difficult if you stay in either of those areas. Excellent assistance from the woman who maintains the unit for the owners. Well maintained grounds and pool. We had unobstructed ocean views on two sides.

“Paradise”

The accommodations and location of this property could not have been any better. One of the absolute best places to stay on the island.

“Best Kauai Condo”

This was our third trip to Kauai. The Castle Lae Nani is in my opinion, the best best for lodgings. Its clean, has a nice swimable beach, is centrally located, and is convenient for shopping, activities, etc. The fact that its a condo complex helps keeps your costs down by virtue of the kitchen and available barbeques.

“Great location!”

Great location, west of Kauai, close to nice shopping and dining, yet very calm. Fun with kids. Would go back with no hesitation. Check in a little confusing, better to call to make sure where to go since it's done at another hotel

“good location”

There needs to be better organisation upon arrival. When you go to reception the staff explains to you that you have to go back two driveways to another property because the unit in which we stayed is managed by another group. So, you go back out on the driveway and drive back down the road and check in there. That process is a bit complicated, especially if you arrive 'out of hours'. The unit itself was tastefully furnished and the beds were comfy. However, the absence of adequate soundproofing upstairs meant that every footstep echoed. Each morning someone upstairs awoke at 5:20 and thumped around. So, beware the early riser in the upstairs apartment! Other than that, it was convenient to walk to the Coconut Grove Marketplace and get the basic provisions. There's a good choice of eateries here. The pool is very good and the outlook from our condo was beautiful. The sound of the crashing waves was very soothing at night. One last thing....the towels and bed linen were close to threadbare. The property could do with updating these basics. Overall though I would recommend this property as a good basic no frills family holiday experience. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

“Can't wait to go back!”

My husband and I stayed in a one bedroom oceanfront condo at Castle Lae Nani. We had a great view of the ocean and the room was very clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed having our own kitchen. It definitely helped to save money! Also, the coconut market place was within walking distance. It had many stores and places to eat. I would definitely stay here again!
