“Kaha Lani in secluded Lihue”
A nice, roomy, clean, quiet resort by the ocean and minutes away from the Lihue Airport and shopping center and restaurants. Beautiful view of the ocean from the Lanai. The only complaint would the roosters waking us up at 3 a.m. every morning.
“huge condo”
We had a nice 2 bdrm and 2 bath. Nice ocean view from the master bdrm and lanai. The beach was steps away from our condo, but we did not swim in it because the waves were rather big and the currents were strong. We drove to other beaches instead.
“ok overall”
not the cleanest place. Looked like it had been a very long time since the baseboards werecleaned and corners of the bather rooms, windows, etc.... Some water damage in windows, shower, etc... that were not well maintained. good location. nice grounds. did not spend a lot of time at hotel, so overall, it was fine. Rough beach in November
“We'll be going back to Castle Kaha Lani, great place!!”
Castle Kaha Lani is a great place for a nice quiet, restful vacation. Good rooms, well decorated, nice kitchens well furnished, nice well kept grounds, good guests, great views of the ocean past a well cared for lawn and across a great walking trail between a State Park and a golf course. It is quiet and relaxing. Staff was really nice and helpful and did a great job in keeping Castle Kaha Lani operating smoothly, well kept and clean. Centrally located to the East and North Coasts and to the South and West coasts. Short 15 to 20 min. drive in either direction for all the 'hustle-n-bustle' activities, shops, etc. Great selection of restaurants within 5 to 20 min. drive either direction - Southwest or North from Castle Kaha Lani. Close to the airport and cruise ship terminal. A nice half day trip will take you to the sights, activities and shops of either the East and North coast or the South and West coast of Kauai.
“Would not recommend staying here”
It was a decent property but very old and not kept in good shape. The bedroom ceilings were filled with mold and the door handle for the screen door for the lanai was completely rusted. The furniture was old in our unit so was the kitchen & its appliances. Overall not a happy customer.
“Wonderful condo and fabulous ocean side stay”
The 3 of us loved staying here because it was right on the ocean and the views were spectacular. We decided to just stay at the condo and eat all our meals in so we did not miss time there. It was close to shopping, the airport, many restaurants, wonderful walking trails and parks. The workers were very helpful and kind. We would definitely stay here again in the future.
“Can't wait to go back!”
We have stayed at several resorts in Kauai in the past, but the Kaha Lani outdid them all. Although it is a different experience than a resort, we think we prefer being in a condo setting rather than a hotel setting. Staff was very nice and helpful. Beautiful!
“Central location, easy drive all spots on the island!”
Overall we had a wonderfull stay, bed was a little firm for me. Located close to airport & many activities, groceries stores, shopping malls & scenic spots!
“Amazing views at Kaha Lani”
We had such a wonderful stay here. Our condo was an oceanfront condo, so we woke up to the waves every morning, it was beautiful. The grounds are well kept and our condo was very clean and comfortable. I loved that they had beach towels available for our use that could be changed out as often as we needed. No need to buy or pack towels! It's located very close to Lydgate Park, which is a wonderfui beach if you're traveling with little ones. And just down the street from snorkel rentals, and the Coconut Grove Marketplace, which had some great restaurants and shops! I highly recommend Kaha Lani, we were sad to go home.
“Average condo”
Overall the condo was ok. The reviews I read prior to booking said having no a/c was not a problem, however, had it not been for the trade winds, it would have been. Not doing that again! Trade winds are not a constant. As for the condo, it was clean enough and well appointed but is definitely showing its age. Humidity with open windows has caused a lot of rust and corrosion. The ocean front location was wonderful. Definitely worth the extra $$. It feels out of the way but truly only minutes to everything. It was mostly cloudy during our visit but that made for some really beautiful sunrises! we would likely book at this property again.
