“Good Value for Princeville”
Prices at Ali'i Kai were reasonable compared to our other choices in the Princeville area. Our 2 Bedroom/2Bath condo was comfortable and well furnished. We were able to make ourselves at home while we were in the condo. We were out and about a lot, but it was a pleasant enough place to spend the evening/night. I think the listing said there were 2 pools at Ali'i Kai, but you will only have access to one of the two pools depending on whether your building is Ali'i Kai I or II. The mountain view was pretty with constant waterfalls visible. While we were not ocean front, we could see the ocean from our windows since we were on the second floor. No AC, but with the windows open and ceiling fans on, it was comfortable at night.

excellent stay if want to be up around the north shore. rooms are a little out dated but kept clean.
“Bad timing??? Could have been better???”
Had to reserve hotel quickly due to a family members sudden illness on Kauai. Showed up at office around 9pm. No one around. Had to wait for an hour to have someone let us in and this was with two kids and after a somewhat long trip. No brochure on area/condo in room. Had to wander around looking for the right pool that we could use. Noisy too. People coming and going with no respect to others at all hours of the night. Once, hotel staff was setting up brunch??? (had no idea if it was for guest or private, no info) at 5:00 am also with no respect for others. Also, tried to contact office about internet service (paper on frig said it was provided) and nobody was in the office the three times we visited and twice when we tried calling. Finally got a hold of somone and was told had to pay for it, weekly after only have two days left. Maybe just bad timing, but otherwise okay. Condition of room was nice, pool was nice (once we found it) and they had beach chairs/mats that you could borrow to take to the beach. Might recommend, experience could go either way...
“Don't do it”
Ali Kai is looking pretty worn out compared to other condos in the area. Our particular unit smelled very strongly of mold so we moved to another condo.
