Marriott hotels usually are 4 star, but this one is 3 star. The slow draining toilet and sink are bothering. Shuttle service is a highlight, but it is reliable only at non busy weekdays. breakfast buffet is very plain, the Starbucks on the first floor doesn't have many options either.

It’s a really nice hotel, staff are friendly and the hotel room was nice and clean with a nice view of the plaza, and so many things to do outside the hotel as well, I’ll definitely come again.

It was a wonderful place to stay at! The hotel was very clean and neat. The one think was the construction going on was an inconvenience but it wasn't bad! The staff was amazing! I definitely will be staying there again the next time we go to Kansas City!

Nice but a little disappointed.
Just getting to the hotel, there's lots of construction on the road right outside hotel, but it didn't have a big impact on our stay and wasn't noisy outside (at least not during the weekend). The lobby is really nice. The room was just okay...the bathroom door was closed when we got inside room, and when opening it the smell was like smelly gym socks. But after airing it out overnight it was fine the next day. The bed was comfy. The shower was nice. The sounds are easily heard between rooms and hallway. I maybe expected a little better from the room for the cost. Overall the hotel is nice but is showing its age a bit (drywall patches visible, water damage to plaster from leaks, etc.). Also, if you get an email saying parking is $17/night, it's not...it's $30. I don't know why they can't correct that email. Front desk were very helpful in providing us transportation options.

They experienced some plumbing issues on a couple of floors that caused some not so pleasant odors. But they did Everyrhing to make it right. Breakfast was awesome. I'd stay there again.

Will Never Stay Again
The room that I booked 2 weeks ago was magically not available due to a flood of some kind. I get it that those things happen but the problem was the recovery of the issue. We went from booking a Concierge Room with a king size bed and a sofa to a single queen size room (the smallest they have). After some negotiations we were able to step up to a double queen, given free breakfast, a couple drinks, and a slight discount but the damage was done. This was our five year anniversary and I wanted to do something nice and splurge a little but this all completely ruined everything. The staff was nice and the room we were in was clean. But, if something happenes to the room that was booked you should be upgraded automatically not downgraded to a crap ass small room. Zero stars, will never stay here again.
