"Great resort, steps from the beach."
Comfortable accommodations, great pools, activities for kids, restaurant prices a little high but food is well prepared and very good. Nice outdoor bar/ restaurants. Service is good and servers are very friendly. Would absolutely stay at this resort again.

Pocket Guide: Maui Island Kaanapali Starwood Spa Hotels

Kaanapali is a prime vantage point for viewing humpback whales, which swim by December to May. The town’s whaling history is displayed at Whaler’s Village, a shopping complex and museum. Visitors also can experience the area’s farming past by riding the Sugar Cane Train, a restored steam locomotive. Snorkelers and divers can enjoy the coral reefs and fish that thrive in nearby Black Rock Beach.
