A long narrow garden containing ponds and fountains runs alongside the center of the Barcelo Capella Beach Resort - All Inclusive, inviting strolling during cool mornings and starlit evenings. Facilities include an open-air theater for nightly shows presented by the resort's staff and band, a supervised children's club with adjacent playground and pool, and a fitness center with cardio equipment and free weights. Massage and hair braiding are available on the beach (surcharges).
The amphitheatre is the site of not only entertainment shows but business functions. The all-inclusive resort near Santo Domingo offers business travelers four event rooms with a capacity of 120 people.

Barcelo Capella Beach Resort offers a total of 497 guestrooms. Standard rooms are located in four pastel-colored, three- and four-story buildings with elevators.
Cherry-colored furniture, bright fabrics, two cushioned chairs, and a table are included. Minibars are stocked (on day of arrival only) with national bottled water, soft drinks, and beer. Bathrooms offer shower/tub combinations, bathrobes, and hair dryers.
All-Inclusive Details
This resort is all-inclusive. This means that onsite food and beverages are included in the room price (some restrictions may apply, for example, to premium food items or drinks; or to dining at specific restaurants). Guests do not have to pay extra for onsite activities such as snorkeling. Taxes and gratuities are included. Please note items that are not included; these require a surcharge.

El Pescador - This beachfront restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffets of international selections. This is also the place for late night fast foods such as burgers.
El Batey de la Costa - This open-air restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffets of international selections.
Las Olas - Open for lunch and dinner, this open-air, à la carte restaurant specializes in grilled foods. Reservations required for dinner. Dress code: Long pants and sleeved shirts for men. After dinner, Las Olas becomes a Disco with dancing on two levels—one under a thatched roof and the other on a wood deck overlooking the sea.
El Bohao Dominicano - A la carte restaurant. LOcal cuisine.
Chez Fontaine - Not part of the All-Inclusive Plan, this restaurant is a small, intimate, candlelit spot offering à la carte choices such as crab gratiné and lobster. Reservations required. Dress code: Long pants and sleeved shirts for men.
Two Snack Bars - One serves grilled items on the beach from late morning through the afternoon; the other is open late night only.
The resort also serves drinks at two pool bars and a beach bar.
Recreation

Miniature golf and tennis are among the popular land activities at this resort. Popular water sports include snorkeling and kayaking. Children join new friends to enjoy beach and pool activities through a daily supervised program.
Golf enthusiasts can arrange tee times at the 18-hole Guavaberry Golf and Country Club, which is 15 km (9 miles) from the hotel.

My husband and I were very impressed and loved the place, services offered and the facilties met our expectations and more. Our next trip is to Punta Cana and we will be using the Barcelo hotels again. I have also had friends tell me that they also enjoyed their stay at one of the other Barcelo locations.

Barcelo Capella Resort has everything you need to have a great vacation. The Resort is beautiful all around. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. We were pleased with the service we received every where we went. The entertainment was one of our favorite. The singers and dancers were amazing. We loved everything about this Resort and are already making plans for next year.

Excellent hotel & good service. We were 23 people traveling from Puerto Rico and we enjoy our stay 100%. Staff was excellent. The bus that took us to the hotel was brand new and the driver was an excellent person. Food was Ok in the hotel. I recommend drinking water from bottle. The beach was beautiful & also the night shows. Remember to tip the guys from the bar, they will have your drink or Presidente on your hand before you ask... Take a round trip to the capitol(Santo Domingo) and Colonial areas and don't pay more than $15.00 dollars. Planning to go again with my son's on November 2011. There are plenty entertainment for children's and adult. Hey, for the price is more than worth it !!!!
