"This is my new go-to hotel in Guayaquil. Excellent location for traveling because it is a few minutes from The airport. $6 by taxi or if you arrange transportation in advance, the hotel supplies it at no fee. Facilities are lovely are very clean. 2 nice restaurants and bars on site with tasty, well prepared food and drinks. Many of the staff speak Spanish and English, which we found helpful. All the front desk staff speak at least those two languages. It is quite close to Mall Sol, which is a big shopping mall with many restaurants. You cannot drink the tap water in Guayaquil but the hotel supplies you with 2 bottles of water free. They also have snacks in the room that you could purchase if you like. Lovely hotel."

"The staff were very helpful. The hotel is very eco-friendly with motion detector lighting. The restaurant was wonderful. Our waiter didn’t speak very much English (which wasn’t surprising), but he got our orders right, and practiced his English on us, which was delightful. The food was excellent, and the presentation was perfect."

"Absolutely recommend this hotel. We stayed for one night but we were treated amazing! We arrived late at night but that wasn’t a problem. Check in was quick and easy. "What an unexpected surprise it was to discover a Relais & Chateaux property in gritty, industrialized Guayaquil! It is by far the most expensive hotel in the city, but after experiencing the sumptuous accommodations, fine dining, serene setting, and gracious hospitality firsthand, the rates are certainly justified. The hotel’s location is both its strong suit and its drawback. It is just fifteen minutes from the airport, which is super convenient for the majority of guests who are just using Guayaquil as a jumping-off point to the Galapagos. It’s a 20-minute taxi ride from the city, in a suburb called Samborondon, so it is quiet and safe. The hotel is promoted as being situated inside Parque Colonial, but as a park or a public garden…it is bleak and rundown. There are few flowers in bloom, the greenery is overgrown, and the paths are in need of repair. There are some dusty old buildings with creepy mannequins inside attempting to recreate colonial times, but it’s crudely executed. We didn’t bother going into the zoo, as from what we could see through the trees, it too has been neglected. Our room was huge and exceptionally comfortable, with 12-foot ceilings and two televisions. Room service is fantastic too. Hotel Del Parque is the jewel of Guayaquil. I highly recommend splurging on a stay here for those who want to begin (or end) their trip to the Galapagos in style, or those who want to experience Guayaquil from a cocoon of luxury and world-class hospitality.
