Vegas style resort, less than 10 years old, but starting to show wear. Staff were wonderful, but some things took longer to arrive than you would hope. Not much to do if you don’t gamble. Reign was good food, and food court in complex.
This is a wonderful place to stay for an overnight or extended stay, business or pleasure. Walkable dining and casino. Safe. My only wish would be an update of the fitness facility. Tired equipment and treadmills did not work.

Never been served a cold burger before in a restaurant. The kind waitress tried to get the maitre in charge to deal with the matter, but his reply was that he was busy with more important matters to have time to deal with me.
Might have been the case, but the attitude tells even more.
The property was clean.
The staff are not willing to assist/go that little bit out of their way in terms of room service. No porter assisted on arrival. The breakfast at Reign restaurant was terrible. Lack of qualified waiter. Bread given as toast with extra well done eggs when Sunny Side soft were requested. No mushrooms, substituted with bake-beans :-( A lot more and they were not even busy at the time. Terrible service. Requested manager to no avail.

Water pressure and temperature in rooms are terrible.

What a bummer paid for a 5 star hotel and got a room over a jackhammer. They are doing major renovations and the place is super loud. We literally had room right over the area they are working on and the hammering started early. Restaurant is closed and they send you to a casino for breakfast.. at least you can get wine for breakfast.
Oh and the water In Tub was green and you can’t see through it.
Nicely mentioned these issues at check out and the only response was sorry. Still charged the full price

The property had a nice view during breakfast of the pool area. But overall the property was a disaster for the price. The heater for the room was set at one temperature couldn’t control it so it was extremely hot in the room. Attempted to take a shower there was no hot water. Called the front desk and there was no concern about that, staff was incompetent

Beautiful hotel, very convenient location, wonderful staff, though their app could use a little more development. We placed an order that was not received and there was no way to view our order. Additionally, it wouldn’t pull up the menu options on my iPhone.

Shameful Behavior
There were three or four patrons in the lobby bar that were basically “screaming “ for two hours nonstop. A number of other patrons left in disgust. The staff never said a word.
That alone , is enough for me not to return.
There are a number of decent choices in Sandton.
Also, the shuttle stops running at 6 pm.
I have stayed Ed there several times in the past , it “no mad”

My apologies for the unruly behavior from some of the guests at the hotel.
We have now placed security guards in the Hotel foyer and at the restaurant area maybe this will help alleviate all issues caused by our rude guests. Our shuttle bus now operates from 7:00am to 23:00hrs every day.

Convenient for the airport - though you can’t rely on getting a taxi. Charming staff and mostly efficient (not all proactive in the dining room though). Rooms are somewhat dated and it is a bizarre setting amongst the tired casino area. Good selection for breakfast.
