Outlook Lodge offers great value for money with home from home comforts in a tranquil gated community. We cater for discerning travelers, professionals and avid safari enthusiasts and families alike.
Originally established as an overnight stop for our guests embarking on safari with us, it now boasts a 4 star grading and confidently claims to surpass international standards, maintaining the highest possible levels of professionalism, hygiene and comfort.
The rooms are tastefully furnished to celebrate South Africa’s wonderful diversity of wildlife and spectacular landscapes. Breakfast is a scrumptious affair, while several restaurants are in close driving distance from the lodge for lunch and dinner. A meal delivery service is also available should you just want to relax next to the pool with a book on sunny days, or in the cozy lounge on colder days.
Being right next to a golf course and within 5 minutes’ walk from a gym and the Korsman Bird Sanctuary offers our guests activity on our doorstep. Day excursions to explore all that Gauteng has to offer can be booked through the lodge.
We have been operating safaris to the Kruger National Park for the past seven years and specialize in this region of South Africa. All safaris are conducted by professional safari guides employed by ourselves. We do not subcontract safaris to other companies. You will deal with us personally and safaris generally leave from the Outlook Lodge. Options vary from budget camping to luxury lodge safaris.
We are situated about 10 minutes’ drive from Johannesburg’s OR Tambo airport and offer transfers to and from the airport.

Outlook Lodge offers 5 guestrooms. Rooms feature garden views. Guestrooms are individually furnished and decorated. Beds feature premium bedding. Televisions come with premium satellite channels. Wireless Internet access (surcharge) is provided. Coffee/tea makers are provided. Bathrooms include makeup/shaving mirrors, complimentary toiletries, and hair dryers. Complimentary bottled water and ceiling fans are also included. A turndown service, hypo-allergenic bedding, and irons/ironing boards can be requested. Cribs (infant beds) are also available. Housekeeping is provided.
All guestrooms are non-smoking.

“Home from home”
Friendly staff, peaceful surroundings, great gardens, pleasant room and close to international airport. On our list of places for a repeat stay as you are made to feel truly welcome. Only negative is no restaurant for evening meals but there are alternatives.
“Ideal stopover location in Joburg”
We stayed at Outlook Lodge for 1 night while on a stopover at Joburg Airport. We were collected from arrivals and in our room within 15 mins. The room was of very high standard and an ideal place to rest after a long haul flight. All of the staff were very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was more than adequate and we were dropped off back at the airport, again within 15 mins.
“Extremely Friendly Staff”
The hotel lobby and rooms were clean and comfortable, the shuttle was prompt, and the breakfast was ample and delicious. However, the most notable feature was the exceptionally accommodating and friendly staff, and I felt truly valued as a guest.

“Perfect location if you need to overnight at Johannesburg (JNB) airport”
Very convenieht to JNB airport, but feels like you are out in the country. Excellent rooms and environs, staff was above par in helpfullness, and made you feel like you were vising your best frineds home. If travel itinerary is similar, I will always try to stay here.
“Just loved it.”
This was so refereshingly different from thre usual big city hotel experirence. Whilst only 15 minutes from the Jo'burg airport (complementary shuttle provided)it was tucked away overlooking green fields and with a bird reserve and golf course only a few minutes walk away. The rooms were spacious and equiped to the highest standards - including a walk in bath. The service was warm and friendly, they couldn't do enough for you. It all made for a very personal service and all at a very reasonable rate - in fact on the day i searched it was the cheapest airport hotel listed. i'll certainly look to Outlook Lodge again before anywhere else when i need a hotel in Jo'berg. Well done Outlook. A first class experience. Thank you.
“very satisfied”
Relatively close to Tambo International Airport (~20 minutre ride). Stayed overnight in between flights. Comfortable and friendly atmosphere. Make sure to arrange transportation from airport in advance
“Explorers Wanted”
A great base for exploring the Johannesburg region, located in a pleasant suburb close to OR Tambo Airport. Had some difficulty getting through by telephone, so I took a cab instead of using the pickup service. Francois was very accommodating, providing a sandwich and a beer when I arrived and arranging for a guided tour of Soweto the following day on very short notice. He also dropped me off for dinner at a local restaurant, and came to get me later. Outlook Lodge specializes in photo safaris, which look good, but I was bound on an adventure of my own. My room was extremely comfortable, with two sleeping areas and a private bath across the hall. Public areas are nicely decorated, and the grounds are quite attractive. All in all, a very good choice for a single, a couple, or a family.
“Comfortable, safe and easy access”
Outlook lodge was comfortable, safe and felt a bit like a bed and breakfast with more personal space. Great place to land and get a first night rest after the long journey to africa.
“Loved it”
Hate to spread the word about how great this place is because I might not be able to book in when I head back to South Africa. Truly lovely service and rooms. Excellent for my quick stop-over, but safari guests/visitors seemed pleased as well.
