“Cosy hotel-- short walk to Jaffa Gate.”
This was a great hotel conveniently located in West Jerusalem, just a short 10-15 walk to Jaffa Gate and close to many shops and great cafes. The staff were very friendly and were happy to answer all of our questions. Breakfast was great and wifi was free. My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here.
“Great Stay”
I had a really nice time at this hotel. Stayed on the main floor. The location is great, the breakfasts were excellent, and the people who ran the hotel were super nice. Great place.
“Great Time”
Had a great time. The Workers Stas and Vald were very hospitable, and friendly to talk with. I would definitely stay there again.
“Great place to stay to be central!”
My friend and I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights, it was very comfy and the rooms were very clean although ours was a bit too small! The bathroom was very clean and had a good powere shower. The breakfast was a buffet and was replenished as soon as anything was empty and there was a nice breakfast room. The location was fantastic for everything we wanted to do while in Jerusalem, and a short stroll away from restaurants. The only noise came from cat fights! I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting and will return when I am next in Jerusalem. Thanks for a pleasant stay!!
“Hotel très bien situé.”
hatel famillial très bien situé. Le perssonnel est très sympathique
“New York City Couple”
We absolutely loved this hotel, but have to say that the highlight of our stay was the lady who runs the show, a wonderful lady by the name of Rosa. Rosa not only was incredibly hospitable, but also proactive without being pushy about the tourist attractions and practical tips that one as a tourist always appreciates. As a polyglot she was extremelly informative in her many languages and we spent a good time of our in between walking resting moments chatting with her about the culture of the city that the tourist guides fail to illustrate. By the end of our stay we insisted she writes a book about her experiences. The hotel is very charming, nothing beats the breakfast on the beautiful balconies adorned with fresh flowers overlooking the middle of the city center, and the cleanliness and comfort in small rooms are invaluable. Location is perfect as well, very close to the greatest market ever, to the new tram, to new Jerusalem, and a perfect short walk away from the marvels of the old city. We loved it. Thank you, Rosa.
“Great Value at the Palatin”
My 19-yr. old daughter and I stayed at the Palatin Hotel for 7 nights in June 2010. It was an absolutely delightful experience and we would definitely stay there again. We enjoyed the 8-10 minute walk to the Jaffa Gate, as well as all the little shops and restaurants all along the way. The hotel staff were so friendly and helpful, no matter what it was we needed: directions, suggestions on where to eat, an airport shuttle, etc. We paid a little extra and stayed on the newly-renovated (updated 2 yrs. ago) first floor. This is no five-star hotel by any means and the room was somewhat cramped for space, but there was a nice sized double sliding door closet, and the beds were comfortable and very clean (my 6'1" son would have found the beds to be short). The flooring throughout was a very attractive grey stone (no carpeting anywhere). The bathroom was small, yet very functional, with a nice large sink, and the shower had the best water pressure and fixtures of any hotel I have ever stayed in. The upper floors in the hotel have carpeting and were not renovated when they did our floor. Breakfast was good---we had a choice of 2 cereals, hard boiled eggs, tuna salad, tomatoes, cheese, some sort of sliced meat, cottage cheese, orange juice, milk, lemonade, coffee, tea, fresh bread, jams, etc. We very much enjoyed staying at the Palatin, and we found it to be an excellent value.
“No hesitation in booking this hotel again”
Great hotel, great location (10 minutes walk to the old city, 5 minutes from the local market). Nice balconies to sit on and relax in the evenings. Staff friendly and helpful. Only 2 very minor complaints - a kebab shop near the hotel open until the early hours - loads of noisy teenagers (same all over the world!) and a shower head that insisted on sliding down its rail and hitting you on the head while you were trying to wash. Would recommend this hotel to anyone - really enjoyed our stay.
“Miami, Best in Jerusalem”
The staff are very friendly and helpfully, located at the most important place in the city, near to everything,
“Extraordinary service”
I was extremely impressed with the attention given by the hotel owner and by his staff. My friend and I were made to feel welcome and the people at the Palatine Hotel did everything possible to assist us. I consider this extremely important when visiting a country whose language is not my own. Many thanks to the entire staff.
