This is definitely a family resort. They have performance at the main pool every night to keep the kids and adults entertained. They also have an above 19 pool area which is great for couples. The hotel has shown some age but it wins on service and facilities.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
The hotel is older and not well taken care of on the outside. Rooms are older, as well, and bathroom felt dirty. Service at the pool is very slow.
The Shilla is truly outstanding. The Staff is incredibly friendly and willing to offer help to tourists. There was construction on the pathway to the beach until the end of September but the beach is still accessable by a trail that goes more around the cliff than straight down. No fault of the hotels and the staff was helpful in letting us know about the alternate route.
The food was exquisite and I highly reccommend the Parkview for its affordability and high quality of dishes at all times of the day.
One other point to travellers, this hotel does have a written rule asking that those with tattoos cover them. Other than that, this hotel was fantastic to experience.

Swimming pool is over crowded and pool wasn’t clean.
Breakfast is over priced.I still can’t believe I paid over 200 dollars for breakfast ( family of 4 )
I wouldn’t visit ever again in the summer.

Response from The Shilla Jeju on Aug 15, 2023
Warm greetings from the Shilla Jeju! We are very sorry for the inconvenience that you experienced. Actually, the end of July is the busiest season in the year, so the swimming pool could be more crowded than usual. Also, we carry out cleaning of the swimming pool twice a day (14:0014:30, 17:0017:30).Lastly, the price of our breakfast is on par with the rates of similar hotels. We are sorry we didn't meet your expectations and hope to have the chance to serve you better in the future.
Hotel charges additional fee for every children you're bringing. Breakfast is good but very pricy. Pool is clean but not the size I expected for hotel's property size. Overall accommodation is normal and pretty old. Hotel needs update!!!

The hotel building and rooms are a bit old, but it is in a great location next to the ocean. The garden and walking trails cannot be compared to any other hotels in Jeju. As a family, we loved the kids' activities such as animal feeding time and craft class. We also appreciated the kind staff. It was a pleasant experience staying at Silla.
Live music (piano, violin, vocals) in the lobby throughout the day was welcoming and soothing to the soul after a day of hiking. Also love the pool, jacuzzi and recliners with heat lamps in balmy weather. Access to beach front, albeit down a very long flight of steps, completes the stay at this little piece of paradise.
