This is a beautiful resort with lovely staff. They are friendly and helpful. The resort was quiet when we were there, and is a beautiful location right on the lake. They have skating on the lake in the winter so bring your skates. They also have what is supposed to be one of the best star-gazing locations in the area just a quick drive up the road (really it could be a walk, but not recommended in the dark). Your best bet would be to scope it out in the daylight first though. Rooms are rather small, but still very comfortable.

"Comfortable upgraded room"
Good place to stay - we were a family of 4 in a delux 2 bed room. Beds were comfortable - although not huge! Room was warm and décor was nice. Bathroom which had large walkin shower was lovely and clearly recently upgraded. Room had tea and coffee facilities, microwave and fridge but no other cooking facilities. Good swimming pool, sauna and both indoor and outdoor hot tub. I would stay there again.

I've stayed at this hotel several times as a one night stop-over as it's half way to my destination. The girl at the front desk was very friendly and informative, the room was clean and spacious and the bed was very comfortable.

"Cozy Retreat from the Cold"
We were all treated royally as well as our Pomeranian Rusty! It was a snowy cold weekend our walks were shoveled regularly. It is a picturesque retreat no matter the weather. We were personally greeted in the lodge that made us feel very welcome. The room was clean and cozy, yet had a sitting area with lots of windows. Our dog Rusty was welcome in the great hall by all staff, and since has started an instagram account with many photos of his frequent visits to the Lodge with us! Mildred Lake was kept cleared through the snowfall into the next day for skating with fireplaces blazing to keep skaters warm. We hope to bring the whole family, poms and all for Christmas this year!

"Great place to relax"
Stayed 3 days, was a nice small cabin, perfect for a couple get-away. Nice small, warm cabin with a small gas fireplace. It's about 25 mins to town, so if your plans don't include getting plastered drunk it's very nice. In the summer it's close to a lot of great hiking trails as well, and punch bowl falls is just seconds away
