“Weekend Getaway”

JPL is a fantastic weekend getaway spot... a bit pricier than other Jasper hotels, but its secluded location 5 mins from town is awesome... great walk around the lake and grounds... it is also pet friendly which is a huge plus

“The Jasper Park Lodge is what you pay for.”

By far the nicest hotel in Jasper it has great staff and is well kept up. The grounds and golf coarse are great. I especially enjoyed the sauna which is completely marble, steams to a thick fog in seconds and has a vicks vapour smell to it which ws just great. Swimming in the outdoor pool at sunset in the rockies was also amazing. Added to that we had the pool to ourselves. I would recomend it if it isn't out of your price range.

Area recommendations
The Jasper Park Lodge is a few km out of town but offers a large private grounds to enjoy and explore. It's far eenough out of town to be a nice seclution but close enough to enjoy anything at ease and will.

“Expensive Cheap-Motel”

We paid a ton for the room and all we got was a small, dark, stuffy motel room. The floor tiles were dirty and cracked. The washroom countertop was old in dark white color. The doors had marks. It's quite disgusting and really not worth it.

“We had a lodge room overlooking the lake and it was amazing”

We loved our stay. We went canoeing and ate fabulous food, however, it was expensive.

“Lovely location but very overpriced”

I enjoyed the stay as the location is perfect; however, the rooms do not merit the very high cost that the hotel charges. Although redecorated, they are still old and just average comfort.

“JPL: Where nature surrounds you”

Staying at the JPL is a privilege that harkens back to the kinder, gentler days of travel where people greet each other, aren't in a hurry and wear clothes that are meant for comfort not to impress. I guess it's because we are surrounded by breathtaking nature 360, mountains, rivers and, yes, wildlife. In the morning and evening, an elk and her young ones came to feed on the bushes at the end of my deck. They weren't at all startled by humans as the folks that are guests at JPL are the kind that respect nature and peacefulness. You meet all kinds of weather all day long so JPL has many faces, backlit by sun streaming through clouds, through fog, mist and rain, at sunrise and sunset, the golden lights playing across the mountains and lakes. Don't miss JPL, it is the experience of a lifetime.

“Everything a Mountain Lodge should be!!!”

The JPL is my most favorite place in the world...it is everything a mtn lodge is supposed to be. Like most fairmont properties it has its own personality, but if you are expecting modern decor and 5 star metro ambience think again. The lodge is mtn chic at its finest. When staying here always upgrade. The fairmont rooms "cheapest rate" leave a lot to be desired. It pays to splurge when staying at the lodge. My fav is the lakeview suite, especially when you get to have your morning coffee sitting on your private deck, overlooking a heard of elk enjoying their breakfast......next to the emerald green lake.
