“Can't wait to go back”

With a price so low, we though the hotel would be not of good standard but boy were we totally wrong…when we entered the lounge we could not stop admiring how well the hotel staff had maintained it, the hallway was well lit, clean and nice. The staffs were super friendly and always carried a smile; they even wrote down and gave us direction to a local attraction called – Beaver Dam. We had booked 3 rooms and in of them the TV did not work to which the hotel staffs promptly came over and fixed it within few minutes. Regarding the room, they were clean, nice and spacious. The free continental breakfast provided was good too. We really enjoyed staying over there and highly recommend staying there; especially considering jasper is only 30 – 40 mins drive away.

“Very Impressive”

The Nova Lodge in Hinton is a beautiful place to stay. The rooms and facilities look brand new although they are 3 years old. The neighbourhood consists of Walmart and Safeway....which is convenient for shopping, but the hotel is quiet and convenient and very reasonably priced. I'd definitely stay there again.

“Great value/Great Hotel”

Day staff at the front desk were very friendly/helpful. Evening clerk informed us at check-in that the BBQ was out of propane, and none would be available til following day. We offered to pick-up more if we would be reimbursed, and he said it wasn't possible to do. Annoying, because we had brought steaks with us. We had to go to the Safeway (directly across the street in shopping centre including liquor store ,Wal-Mart, Cdn Tire-so very convenient) to pick-up something for dinner that could go in microwave. Room included full silverware/ dishes/glassware/wine glasses for 4, plus several pyrex bowls for vegies/side dishes. Also had vegie peeler, corkscrew, cutting board, sharp knives, pot holder, dish soap, towel + cloth-well-stocked. Bar fridge has a small freezer too. Lack of space/chairs to eat meals in room. The free cont. breakfast was FABULOUS for the variety of items included; omelettes, waffles, oatmeal, French toast, cereal, yogurt, fruit, toast, juices. Definitely recommend. Quiet rooms/hallways, even near elevator. Didn't try the pool, can't comment.

When I made a reservation for two nights, I thought that it would be a cheap motel so I did not expect too much. When I checked-in, and stepped into the room, it was very descent hotel room there. all the equipment is new, and clean. They even had dishes, tableware, a microwave oven, and a fridge in that room. Safeway and walmart is just right next to the hotel so that I could shop groceries, brought them back and then could cook. They also served a continental breakfast!! Oh, they also serve free coffee at the lobby, and I loved it. If I have any chance to revisit the Jasper National Park, I will come back to this hotel.

Cleanand well-maintained hotel at the west end of town. Great stop-over location on way to BC. For the price you can't beat this place.

“Value for Money”

We have stayed at the Nova Inn in Hinton on a previous occasion and were very impressed with the value for money. The Nova lodge was not as good on this occasion. The pool was closed for maintenance (apparently for some time) and we didn't know about this before we booked. The complimentary breakfast which we anticipated after our stay at the Nova Inn previously was a big dissappointment. It had limited capacity for the number of people in the hotel ( 3 tables for 3 people, 1- 2 slice toaster, 1 microwave) and really only the basics (toast, cereal, and muffins). The room was nice and clean with modern furniture and appliances and as a bonus there was a full set of dishes and cutlery for the in room "snacks". It is located on the outskirts of town, so really the only noise (which was very limited) came from the odd 18 wheeler on the highway. I would stay again as the price is good, but I would try the Nova Inn if it was available.

Closer to Jasper to start or end your trip through the Rockies. Fantastic price, with clean quiet room. Only complaint was the television remote did not work.
