“Tried hard to fix problem”

Air conditioner did not work upon arrival. Maintinance came and worked overtime to fix it. Ended up putting in new one. Motel fully booked so couldn't change rooms. Desk clerk not that friendly but maintinance crew was great!

“Nice hotel”

Very clean hotel, good location. Parking can be tight (we had to park on the street our first night) but the room was nice, comfortable, and clean. On site restaurant wasn't bad either. Would definitely stay here again.

“What - No breakfast buffet?”

Why doesn't this motel get with the program of almost all other hotels and lodges in North America and offer a breakfast buffet instead of, or along with, a traditional cooked to order breakfast. There already is a restaurant on the property, but many travelers don't have time for the cook to cook up your order and just want ot grab something from the buffet line and go, or prefer the expanded choices and customizied portion sizes of a buffet. I certainly would be willing to pay for a continental breakfast buffet in the room rate. The lack of this option reduces my rating of this otherwise nice motel.

“Alright hotel”

There's not a 'bad' hotel in Jasper. This is one of the cheaper ones. Decent condition, exterior has been renovated. Interior not so much. Super hot water and a lot of pressure.

“nice Jasper stay”

Nothing fancy, but very clean and comfortable. 5 minute walk to shopping, nice twin outdoor hot tubs.

Area recommendations

anywhere in Jasper is convenient to everywhere, to get into the mountains you do need a car.

Outdoors or beach

Taking the Jasper Tramway up can be a good idea, because you can spend your whole day in the high country. Take clothing layers.

“Mount Robson”

Great value for what we paid. Interior of rooms were better than I had expected after reading other reviews. Wish the big hot tub was open later than 22:00.

“Modest, clean hotel in great location”

This is a modest, clean and comfortable motor hotel on the edge of "downtown" Jasper. While it lacks the glamour of the local resort, it is within easy walking distance of the town centre and offers free wireless internet.

Area recommendations

Jasper is pretty small. The town centre has lots of shopping, and side trips to scenic spots like Athabasca Falls or Mount Robson are recommended. Miette hot springs are about 45 minutes away.

Dining

Andy's Bistro is fairly expensive but worth it. The food is wonderful and cooked by Andy himself in this 30-seat venue. Reserve ahead. For morning coffee and sweets, the Bear's Paw (and The Other Paw) are the place to go, even if you just want to breathe in the rich smell of roasting coffee and cinnamon buns. The deli makes the BEST sandwiches ever, so go there and get them to pack you a lunch to take on your explorations.

“Wouldn't stay at the hotel again.”

The staff at the hotel were very helpful and friendly. The rooms were very small with hardly enough room for two suitcases and the beds were not comfortable. The two hottubs were nice although they were in the corner of the parking lot and you did not have a view of anything but the hotel. The continental breakfast was terrible. The food was not fresh and the choices were limited. I would not stay at this hotel again.

“2 problems but otherwise great”

Our 2 problems with our room at the Mount Robsin Inn... 1) there were a few stray hairs left in the room at check in, one for example was on a "clean" coffee cup, another in the sink. And 2) we were in a room located by a stairwell so there was constantly people going up and down the stairs making it a bit noisier then I would have liked it. Other then these two issues we found the room to be spacious and comfortable. The staff at the desk were friendly and informative. We're already planning our next trip to Jasper and this hotel won't be overlooked in our search for accommodations.
