“A nice place to stay.”

We stayed at the Marmot for 3 nights, and it was very comfortable and clean. We got the kitchenette suite and had no trouble cooking all our meals. The room was very spacious even with a ton of bags and ski gear. One complaint we had was that the bathroom floor was like ice, no matter how warm the room was. Despite having the space for it, the lack of a small fireplace made the room a little less cozy. The beds and pillows were comfortable, and there was no noticeable noise from neighboring rooms. All in all, a nice stay.

“Great Value”

Our stay was for only one night, but was very satisfying. Even though we booked a standard room, we were upgraded to a one bedroom suite with kitchenette, couch/chair and gas fireplace. It made the one night quite enjoyable and cozy - would definitely come back for another ski weekend!

“Comfortable, Very Clean & Spacious Rooms”

Enjoyed our 1 night stay, lovely clean renovated rooms, bathroom was like brand new and had a full kitchen which we didn't even use. Rooms were very large and enjoyed the jacuzzi tub partially outdoors. Abit farther from town than others but worth it for the price.

Area recommendations
Any area is beautiful, all in walking distance to town.
Outdoors or beach
We always take the drive to Pyramid Lake, take the trails and walk along lake, very beautiful. Lots of nice walking areas in Jasper, and always see gorgeous wildlife too!

“Little dated. Not good, not bad.”

It's a place to stay. Clean but a bit wornout and needs updating.

“Nice basic hotel”

This hotel was really quite nice. The decor was a little dated, but we don't really care about that when we travel. Our room had a nice balcony with chairs to sit out on which was really nice. We did not use the hot tub and pool as we were only there one night, but they looked nice.

Area recommendations
We went white water rafting on the Athabasca river which was one of the coolest thing we did on our vacation. We used Jasper Adventure for this and the guides were really nice and funny too. The tramway also gives a nice view of the town.

“will for sure stay there next time we go back through.”

Overall, I would recommend this hotel. We love the pool and hot tub. It was easy to find and the staff very friendly. We ate dinner in the hotel resturant and enjoyed our meal also - cost overall was reasonable.

When to go
We went in June and Sept., I think our trip in June was much prettier time of year, but we saw many more animals in Sept.
Must see
the malinge canyon is a for sure see in your travel - it is beautiful

“Awesome View”

Very nice and rustic. Beautiful view of the mountains from the lodge site and some rooms having mountain view as well. It is located on the entrance of the village of Jasper, therefore you have to take your vehicle to go where the shops and restaurants are. Otherwise it is a bit of a walk. It will take you 2-3 min by car to get where the main area is. Nice staff, very clean. Nice pool and new jacuzzi tub outside. Would go back on a heart beat!

Area recommendations
Depending on what you want to do, I suggest you go to the tourism office located in the middle of Jasper and ask about the many walking/hiking trails around the Jasper area. You won't be disappointed. Jasper is an awesome location for the outdoor activities. Wild life sighting is simply amazing. Although be careful has there is some not too friendly wildlife, such as bears, cougars and wolves. So choose your trails wisely if you do not want to meet one of those critters.

“bad bacon”

the hotel was clean and comfortable, if a little dated. Their attached restaurant, however, served weird-tasting, tainted bacon with their eggs. I wonder how many complaints they got about it.
